DGP Sri C.V. Anand Holds Staff Officers Meeting

 



Director General of Police (DGP) Sri C.V. Anand on Friday chaired a Staff officers meeting at the DGP Office to review various key issues pertaining to the Telangana Police Department and discuss future policing strategies.During the meeting, the DGP held extensive discussions with senior officers and Commissioners on Commissionerate jurisdictions, Police Station limits, border village divisions, and other jurisdiction-related matters. He directed officials to formulate comprehensive plans for reorganization of circles, zones, and villages in a manner that ensures administrative efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Expressing concern over recent incidents involving individuals from other states, particularly Nepalese employed as domestic workers allegedly involved in criminal activities. The DGP instructed officials to collect comprehensive data on domestic servants  from Nepal and other countries across the state. He emphasized maintaining a structured database containing details regarding their residence and employment.The meeting also reviewed the implementation of CCTNS 2.0, strengthening of Police system, modernization of existing manual processes, and future policing initiatives. It was decided tentatively to  organize  *Police Retreat* in November and  *Women Police Conference* in October, 2026.

The DGP emphasised the effective implementation of 33 percent reservation for women police personnel and directed officers to create greater opportunities for women officers in Law & Order duties and field-level policing responsibilities.

*Emphasis on Technology-Driven Policing* 

The DGP emphasized and highlighting the importance of technology in modern policing is need for greater adoption of technology-based policing systems. Senior officers discussed implementation of core applications, expansion of CCTNS 2.0, and wider utilization of TG Cops platforms etc. The DGP observed that technology can significantly enhance policing efficiency by enabling faster access to information relating to Dial-100 responses, rowdy sheeters, vehicle searches, and history-sheeter databases.

He further instructed officials to focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based policing, drone technologies, HRMS, data intelligence systems, and smart applications. He urged officers to move forward with the vision of “Telangana Smart Policing – Using Technology.”Discussions were also held on manpower management, vehicle audits, personnel utilization, and traffic management systems. The meeting further deliberated on the future requirement for establishing  systems for Traffic Management and Road Transport Bureau functions, along with specialized mechanisms for Food Adulteration Control.

The meeting graced by Home Secretary Shikha Goel, Intelligence DG Vijay Kumar, Telangana Police Academy Director Abhilasha Bisht, DG Law & Order Mahesh Bhagwat, TG Technical Services DG V.V. Srinivasa Rao, Hyderabad police Commissioner sajjanar,   OCTOPUS DG Anil Kumar, Home Guards DG Swati Lakra,  IG Multi Zone-I Chandrashekhar Reddy, IG Road Safety Wing Ramesh Naidu Cyberabad CP Ramesh Reddy, Malkajgiri CP sumathi and  other senior police officers were participated in  the meeting.
