'She Shuttles' launched for women in IT corridor

An exclusive transport system meant for women named ‘She Shuttles’ was launched in the IT belt on Monday. The shuttles will run everyday from 8 am to 11 pm.

The service is monitored by the Central Control Room at the Cyberabad police commissionerate and a smart phone app with panic mode has been given to all passengers.

The service is free for all women employees of the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC). The shuttle is a joint initiative of the SCSC, the police and the government of Telangana.

For now, two non-AC buses will run on a pilot basis through the main roads of the IT corridor. The government has promised to add four more AC buses to cover the entire IT corridor and surrounding areas, where several women’s hostels are located.


The officials from SCSC said that with the smart phone app the passengers can see the location of the bus and track its movement.

Cyberabad Commissioner C.V. Anand expressed deep satisfaction on the speed of execution of the projects undertaken by the SCSC and wished all the best  for future endeavours.

Anand visits Kondapur Area Hospital

Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand adopted Kondapur Area few months ago. He initiated drastic changes and interacted with many sections of people. Apart from that he drafted few letters to various department heads requesting for more funds, equipments etc.,

Mr.Anand decided to visit kondapur area hospital on 4th saturday of every month. Accordingly he visited the hospital today and observed the premises. C.V.Anand handed over 2 air-conditioners, 16 ceiling fans, 7 wall mounted fans, 70 tube lights to the hospital management. All the materials were procured with the help of donors.

"Lot of changes happened in these two months. Still we need to improve many things. Hospital staff should also involve completely to improve the standards and we have media support as well." said C.V.Anand.

Cyberabad Police Stations to sport a corporate look

The Cyberabad Police is going to take up remodelling of police stations on the lines of IT offices. Police stations in Cyberabad area would be restored with proper facilities and to provide a friendly ambience for visitors.This apart, the Cyberabad Commissionerate at Gachibowli is also up for a revamp.As a part of modernisation programme of police stations, Telangana Home Minister and Director General of Police (DGP) layed the foundation stones for  commissioning additional floors for the Cyberabad police commissionerate, Gachibowli IT corridor police complex and also inaugurated Madhapur Traffic Police station, Jagadgirigutta Police station. 

Police Commissioner C V Anand said that the government has sanctioned `45 crore to the Cyberabad Police for turning all police stations and Police Offices into ‘People Friendly Units’. Around `7 crore has been sanctioned for the expansion of the CP Cyberabad office and also for new operational units like SHE Teams, IT Cell, CI Cell,Ministerial and Accounts staff. 

“The Cyberabad Command and Control Centre will be built over three floors, with a huge video wall. On this video wall, in three portions, will be integrated the 10,000 CCTV Cameras which are expected to be setup in Cyberabad’s jurisdiction (3000 in the first year); the HTRIMS signals will be monitored in the second part of the video wall and in the third part will be monitored the GPS maps of the 200 Patrol cars and other vehicles. There will be a mezzanine floor to function as the war room for senior officers,’’ Police Commissioner said.

Anand further stated that `3 crores has been sanctioned to build the newly-sanctioned Gachibowli IT Corridor Police Station complex.This building has been designed in such a way that the DCP Madhapur, ADCP Madhapur, ACP Madhapur, the IT Corridor women Police Station and the Commissionerate Counselling Centre would also be housed in this complex.

The government also sanctioned `10 crore to develop 1500 sq. feet barracks in each of the 44 Police Stations of Cyberabad.These barracks are meant only for the TSSP and outside forces coming for various Bundobusts. Each barrack will have beds for 25 personnel with washrooms, a Cooking and Dining Hall and a bell of arms.

All the 44 police stations are being redesigned at a cost of `20 crore to make them people friendly with standardised designs for reception of citizens, complaint receiving, counselling rooms and women help desks for women in distress, work stations for Sector SIs, rest rooms, adequate number of toilets for visitors.

Cyberabad Police geared up for "Haritha Haram"

With a view to increase afforestration in Telangana,  the entire state machinery will be busy planting  saplings in the 10 districts of Telangana State from July 3rd to 10th, 2015. The program is named as "Haritha Haram". Government of Telangana has requested all sections of people to make Haritha Haram a big success.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand responded to  the call of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Telangana state and he conducted a review meeting in which he instructed all the police officers to participate in this program.

Cyberabad Police have decided to plant one  lakh of saplings in all police stations, Zonal Offices, CP office. They are  coordinating with Revenue,Forest Department,GHMC to enable maximum plantation in educational institutions, Government offices etc. The entire Cyberabad Police machinery is gearing up to assist in the vigorous education campaign  at all places, villages. Harita Haram stickers will be displayed on Police vehicles,other Government vehicles, Autos/Cabs. 

This large-scale tree planting project will enhance biodiversity, protect the soil, restore ecological balance and provide livelihood opportunities for thousands across the state. Mass awareness campaigns are planned to establish a culture of care for the environment.

Trees and humans are in an intimate relationship. What they exhale, we inhale, what we exhale, they inhale.This is a constant relationship that nobody can afford to break or live without.

180 home guards recruits pass out

A total number of 180 home guards(drivers) recruits of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate passed out successfully on Wednesday after completing training.

The passing-out parade of the home guards recruits was held at the Cyberabad Police Head quarters.

The recruits were imparted basic training for 18 days and top priority is given for outdoor training. They were trained in  Physical training, Squad drill, Arms drill, handling of  weapons. As a part of Indoor training they were trained about Home Guards organisation, police-public relations, arrest, custody, patrolling, escort and the latest trends of policing in cyberabad. They were also briefed about food habits, prevention of health problems and other common diseases in drivers.

New homeguards acquired some info on the maintenance of police vehicles, defensive driving, perfect driving, kmpl driving, road rules, road safety.

Addressing the recruits after inspecting the ceremonial march past, Cyberabad Police Commissioner said that 
the newly inducted home guards personnel should enhance their skills and carry out the tasks assigned to them with patience, dedication and determination.

"This is a challenging job and you should perform your duties accordingly. Maintain the vehicles properly that would be given to you. Maintain good relations with  public and respect police officers, public." he added.

Sunday, Funday and Yoga Day.

 Regardless of rain or not, people in large numbers thronged to participate in World Yoga Day, Skateboard Day, Fathers Day and Music Day. The June 21st is more special for many reasons. It is also observed as the THE YEAR’S LONGEST DAY.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand participated in International Yoga Day Celebrations along with  general public and residents of IT corridor. Members of various organisations like Cyberabad Police, The Raahgiri, TSIIC, Happening Hyderabad, EMBARQ and IdentCity took part in Yoga session.

 The event witnessed a large turn out, led by Mr.Anand.Speaking about Yoga and its importance C.V. Anand said Yoga is very good for overall health. It is a practice which controls an individual's mind, body and soul. Get involved more into Yoga to lead active lifestyle.Speaking further on the occasion he said Raahgiri is a street event, which provides citizens with the opportunity to reclaim their streets, connect with their community.We want to make Hyderabad the most happening day. Cyberabad Police are trying their best to provide as many spaces as possible to connect with community.

Skateboarders all over the world celebrate June 21st as Skateboard Day.  C.V. Anand did the skateboard for a while and encouraged others to do. He went around 1.2 kms stretch from Raheja Mind Space to Bio Diversity Park. He bicycled, played few street games like Spinning Top. His presence encouraged many people who indulge in group activities. He mixed up with the crowd, obliged for photographs.   

"We would like to observe every Thursday as “CAR FREE THURSDAY”, in the IT Zone of the Cyberabad. This initiative will be kicked off from July 23rd. “She Shuttle service", two private bus services will be introduced on June 29th for the commutation of women IT employees in the Cyberabad IT corridor."

Pedalling for a cause

Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand participated in the 'Chiefs on a Roll' a cycling event conducted in Cyberabad area to promote active lifestyle, reduce pollution and to promote Hyderabad as a major cycling destination.Chief Executive Officers from several Indian and multinational companies participated in this event. 

Mr.Anand assured full cooperation and support from Police to provide a safe environment for cycling in Cyberabad area.

Consulate General of Korea Republic meets C.V.Anand

Republic of Korea consulate General, Hang Kolki, who visited the city for sight seeing, interacted with Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand at Cyberabad Police headquarters, Gachibowli. Mr.Hang Kolki enquired about the safety measures  that were being implemented in Cyberabad for the protection of Korea Citizens.

Anand detains Notorious Rowdy Sheeter Under PD Act

Mr.C.V.Anand.,IPS, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad in exercise of the powers conferred on him under Sub-Section (2) of Section 3 of the Telangana Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Boot Leggers, Dacoits, Drug Offenders, Goondas Immoral Traffic Offenders and Land Grabbers Act, 1986 r/w G.O. Rt. No.775 of General Administration (Law and order) Department, dt.10-03-2015, has issued Preventive Detention Orders to detain Gunti Rajesh(Notorious Goonda/Land Grabber) of Hayath Nagar PS.He has been acting as a leader of the gang and habitually indulged in unlawful acts such as Rape, Kidnapping, Extortion, impersonation, Cheating, Criminal trespass and damage to the property with criminal conspiracy and criminal intimidation, Land Grabbing etc.,


Further, his acts have been adversely effecting the maintenance of the public order and peace in Hayathnagar, Vanasthalipuram and Chaithanyapuri areas and none were coming forward to submit evidence against him. 

He is involved in (6) criminal cases in Cyberabad Commissionerate. With a view to  infuse confidence in the minds of the law abiding citizens and also to prevent the Rowdy Sheeter, from acting in any manner prejudicial to the maintenance of public order he is kept out of the society for a considerable period by detaining in the prison under PD Act.

Hence, Preventive Detention orders are invoked against him by C.V. Anand

C.V.Anand participated in celebrations of State formation Day

Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand participated in the celebrations of Telangana formation day at Saroornagar Indoor stadium along with the transport minister, Rangareddy Collector and other officials.



Commissioner inaugurates camp office at LB Nagar

Cyberabad Police Commissionerate is wide spread in 3,700 sq.km and this turned out as a time consuming issue for the general public, officers to reach head quarters at Gachibowli. This issue was discussed in review meetings conducted by C.V.Anand,CP, Cyberabad.With a view to interact with the public and to conduct meetings with the DCP's and other officers of Malkajgiri, LB Nagar zones,  CP Cyberabad planned to start a camp office.

Today Mr.Anand inaugurated camp office at LB Nagar along with Joint CP, DCP's and other officers. This camp office will enable the CP, Cyberabad to closely review the situation in LB nagar, Malkajgiri zones in the event of Law & Order problems. Interacting with the media at the camp office, he told that the Cyberabad Police have proposed new police stations and escalated it to the notice of DGP. "The manpower required  in cyberabad is not sufficient in number and I have negotiated it with the Chief Minister. We are continuously working hard to serve the people with the available resources." added C.V.Anand. Finally one of the agenda in Anand's mind has taken its form. Happy Policing!!
