Cyberbad Police Conducted Training Program to Special Branch Officials of Various Districts in Telangana

Following the success of modern police verification of passport launched by the Cyberabad Police Commissioner, Telangana DGP have decided to replicate it all over the state. DGP opined that  a training program should be conducted to the Special Branch Officers  and he assigned the task to the Cyberabad Police.

Therefore,  a  five day training program is started by Cyberabad Police Commissioner, C.V.Anand in his office. Special Branch Officers from all the districts of Telangana attended this training program.

In the training session, he demonstrated the new system of passport verification and a presentation is shared with the officials. Mr.Anand briefed DO's and DONT'S that need to be followed  in the new method of  passport verification. 

Various rank officers in Cyberabad Police Commissionerate trained the attendees. The officers who were trained on the new system of verification will share their knowledge to other personnel in the districts.

Cyberabad Security Council Revamped

The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) has been revamped by  Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand in view of the security awareness regarding terror, cyber crimes and women’s safety. He  took over as the new chief of the Council.  The move was meant to take the eight year old organisation to the next level, bringing all the stakeholders on board for better results .

The representatives of HYSEA (Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association) and NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Services Companies) have been brought in as office-bearers in the SCSC, by Anand, in consultation with executive committee members and IT industry leaders. 

The SCSC has been allotted an office space inside Cyberabad commissionerate and three paid employees, including an assistant director, have been appointed. Four sub-committees, namely Women’s Forum, Traffic Forum, Security Forum and Membership Forum have also been formed. The revamp of the organisation is done to aptly represent various organisations like HYSEA (Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association), NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Services Companies) and other IT associations.

“Re-organisation was done in order to increase the total level of activities.We will soon be spreading to other IT areas like Uppal, Pocharam and Adibatla. We expect more activity in future in these areas,” Mr. Anand explained. Considering that one lakh women employees were working in different companies in the IT corridor, their security forms an important subject and all steps will be taken to safeguard them. Apart from ‘SHE’ teams, security personnel and cab drivers are also being sensitised on safety issues, he added.

Commissioner's Appreciation to Shamshabad Interceptor Team

Cyberabad Police Commissioner, C.V.Anand appreciated the interceptor team of shamshabad division for their daring act in catching a thief. Mudiraj Chinna stoled an auto near Manju bar in Rajendra Nagar. The Shamshabad interceptor team who were on their regular duty, received information from the control room and they tried to stop the auto. 

Finally after chasing the auto on the highway they arrested the thief. Commissioner appreciated the interceptor team  U.Bhaskar, M.Bhanu, Narsing Raju and CH.Srinivas and presented cash reward along with the appreciation certificates.

Cyberabad's Passport verification system to be adopted country wide

The procedure of Passport Verification adopted by the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate will be used throughout the country. Last month Cyberabad Police Commissionerate had launched the first of its kind Passport Verification System and as a result the verification can be completed in a record time of 3 days. The new system was unveiled by Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand in the presence of regional passport officer(RPO) Ashwini Sattaru and Inspector-General(Intelligence) Shivadhar Reddy.

 A week after the launch, the Joint Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs Muktesh Pardesh, had visited Cyberabad Commissionerate and a demo of the entire system was presented before him. Today, the entire team of TCS ( consultant for MEA on Passport Seva), along with RPO Hyderabad Ashwini,RPO Delhi Narendra Singh and other MEA officials visited the Cyberabad Commissionerate to understand the working of a software used by the special branch for passport verification. Mr.Anand gave a presentation on how the system works and a practical demo of how the process was completed in three days.

Following the success of the modern police verification of passport launched by the Cyberabad Police Commissioner, External Affairs Ministry Officials, who watched a demo of the new and fast system, have decided to replicate it all over India.

Safe and Smart Colony Project in Cyberabad

 Telangana Chief Minister inaugurated the safe and smart colony project in Mamathanagar(Cyberabad Jurisdiction) . This is a pilot project framed  by the Cyberabad Police to  control crime, identify anti-social elements in colonies. State Government, Cyberabad Police, GHMC and the colony residents joined the hands to make a difference.



Project Details

Collecting Information

Initially the residents in the colony formed as a society. Cyberabad Police prepared special formats and all the owners, tenants should fill and submit basic details like Name, Aadhaar Number, Photo, Address, Occupation, Vehicle Number etc.,

Tenants must enter the date of entry in the house, agent(if any), two local references, Foreigners should fill the details like passport Number, Visa details, purpose of visit, duration of stay, Occupation, local references if any.

Apart from that all the details of the house keeping staff, milk and paper boys along with their photos should be filled in the prescribed formats given by the police. All these details are saved in the local police station and subjected to further analysis.

One Entry-One Exit 


All the important routes in the colony are identified through maps. From 10 pm to 5 am all the other routes are closed to ensure that all  the residents, visitors and other people to go through only one entry and one  exit points. Watchmen are appointed at these points to record the details of the vehicles entering and leaving the colony.

Surveillance


Closed Circuit Cameras, Alarm systems  are installed at key points and main junctions in the colony and with the help of technology they are linked to the control room in the local police station.

Local Police and patrolling teams continuously maintain good coordination with the colony association and suggest them about security measure that need to be implemented.

Inauguration of IT Corridor Check Post

Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand inaugurated the check post constructed by Hyundai company near Hitech City MMTS Station. This is a key location through which many woman IT employee commute every day. With an intention to monitor the safety of woman and traffic flow this check post is started.

"It is very useful for the police to perform visible policing. Apart from that we can conduct some sessions on women safety and traffic awareness." said Mr.Anand.

Invitation to address in National Police Science Congress

Cyberabad Police Commissioner received invitation from Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) to address the 44th National Police Science Congress.Gujarat is all set to host Congress from 11 -13 March 2015 at the Mahatma Mandir Convention Center located in the state capital Gandhinagar. Hosted by Director General of Police, Gujarat with Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) being the co-host. All India Police Congress is the highest forum for brainstorming on issues faced by the Indian Police. During the congress officers would discuss the best practices that could be emulated. 

C.V.Anand  is specially invited to explain the election-related measures taken by him in the area of "Expenditure monitoring and tackling money power"in general elections 2014. Framing good strategies and executing them yielded good results in Cyberabad Commissionerate limits during general elections and Mr.Anand received National Special Award from Election Commission of India for the best practices.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand  appreciated the daring act of Moinabad constables. They arrested the kidnappers who abducted Sayyad Khalim(business man from Himayatnagar) in a car. In his office, Mr.Anand presented appreciation certificates and cash reward to the patrolling constables B.Pandarayya, K.Chandrasekhar, home guard sattayya and cyberabad control room constables Niranjan, Ramesh Goud.

Narsing Police station patrolling constables E.Pandari, B.Venkatayya also received cash rewards from the Commissioner for catching thieves who tried to break into a house in secretariat colony.
