Police Commissioner C.V.Anand digging recharge pits to conserve water

Cyberabad Police are according greater impetus to conserve water.Today C.V.Anand along with other  officers digged 6 water harvesting pits in his office.To deal with the looming water crises,Anand appealed citizens to conserve and preserve ground water resources for future generation.

“Groundwater is a valuable asset, we should use it responsibly so that we can save it for our future generation as well,” he said.

C.V. Anand appointed as special observer for TN, Puducherry polls

The Election Commission of India has appointed Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand as 'Special Observer' in the general election to the Legislative Assemblies of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for a period of five days. 

"He has been deputed by the ECI to randomly check whether all the sytems and directions given by the ECI for expenditure control by the various parties like Static Surveillance Team, Flying Squad, Video Viewing and Surveillance Teams, GPS enabled vehicles, booth level awareness groups, CPMFs deployment, excise and distilleries activities, Banking and other transactions, paid news etc are being followed or not," a release from Cyberabad Police said today. 

Last year, C V Anand had been conferred the Election Commission of India's National Special Category Award for the Best Electoral Practices-2014. 

Anand had been bestowed the National Special Award by ECI for the "commendable" election related measures taken by him in the area of 'Expenditure Monitoring and Tackling Money Power' during the General Elections of 2014. 

Cyberabad Police Commissionerate had the highest cash seizures in the country in the run up to the election on April 30, 2014 of Rs 21.97 crore and also the single largest cash seizure of Rs 8.33 crore in the country in its drive to control election expenditure.

CS opens Command Control Centre, lauds Cyberabad cops

State-of-the-art facility:Telangana Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma, Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand and others at the launch of the command and control centre of Cyberabad Commissionerate on Monday

A new facility — Command and Control Centre — was added to the Cyberabad Commissionerate office here at Gachibowli on Monday, which enables them monitor the entire IT corridor spread over 50 square kilometres using high definition cameras.

Telangana Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma inaugurated the centre, to which are connected 150 CC TV high-definition cameras installed from Raidurg to Hyderabad Central University and from Financial District to Hafeezpet. Along with the Command and Control Centre, Mr. Sharma inaugurated the Crime Data Analysis and Management Systems (C DAMS).

Out of the 150 CC TV cameras, 85 were installed with Rs. 5.5 crore released by Telangana State Industrial and Infrastructural Corporation while the remaining were secured with the Rs. 2.9 crore given by Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC).

Solar energy

The CC TV project is using solar energy for power back-up while it is equipped with high-end servers having 200 TB storage capacity. They can hold data of 30 days for all the cameras. Sitting in the command centre, policemen can keep surveillance on the junctions and examine live stream as well. The live stream can be viewed on mobile phones.

Special software

This project helps Cyberabad police avail video conference facility. The C DAMS is equipped with high-end software to analyse call data record and retrieving data from electronic gadgets. Special software acquired by police help in enhancing image qualities of videos and locate browser and messenger histories.

“While upgrading and using technology, it is equally important to focus on human element,” the Chief Secretary remarked. Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand explained to the Chief Secretary, Finance Secretary Ramakrishna Rao how the police were able to detect cases using the video footage and the initiatives undertaken by Cyberabad police.

Sania Mirza inaugurates sports facilities in Commissioner's Office

Tennis star Sania Mirza has inaugurated newly built tennis and badminton courts at Cyberabad Police Commissionerate in Gachibowli on Friday. This is first time 11 layered synthetic tennis court has been built in Hyderabad. Saina said during the event, its a welcome move where police to encourage sports in a nice manner. Police commissioner C.V.Anand and his wife Lalitha Anand, Sania’s father Imran Mirza also attended this inauguration.

Tight Security in place for IPL matches in Hyderabad



With the Hyderabad leg of Indian Premier League (IPL) set to begin at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on Saturday, heavy police cover is being deployed as a precautionary measure. According to Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand, this will also include regulation of traffic.

RGICS will host seven Sunrisers Hyderabad matches- April 16, 18, 23, 26, April 30, May 6 and 12. Personnel of Cyberabad Security Wing, Law and Order, traffic, two OCTOPUS units, and five platoons of Armed Forces along with Special Branch and Central Crime Station staff would be deployed at the stadium on match days, he told reporters here on Thursday.

Additionally, 100 CCTV cameras will also be put in place around the stadium. Given the ongoing Metro Rail works at Uppal, parking is prohibited from Genpact to Uppal Ring Road. However, physically challenged spectator scan enter the stadium from Ramanthapur road through gate no 3 (Service Entry) and park their vehicles at parking place B.

On match days, heavy vehicles coming from LB Nagar and Warangal would not be allowed towards Habsiguda from 2pm, while  heavy vehicles coming from ECIL, Kushaiguda and Cherlapally towards Uppal X roads will be diverted via Mallapur Bridge, Chengicherla X roads and LB Nagar junctions.
