Director General of Police, Telangana Sri CV Anand has directed officials to take necessary steps for the early conduct of Telangana State Police Officers Association elections, emphasizing the importance of electing Association representatives through a democratic process.The DGP observed that the Police Officers Association plays a crucial role in safeguarding the welfare of police personnel and addressing their grievances effectively. Considering its significance, he stressed the need to conduct the long-pending elections at the earliest.
A delegation led by Telangana State Police Officers Association State President Sri Y. Gopi Reddy met the DGP and submitted a representation requesting the revival of the election process, which has remained pending for several years due to various administrative and technical reasons.The delegation explained that several factors, including administrative restructuring and technical issues, contributed to the delay in conducting elections. They urged the DGP to initiate the process and ensure elections are held without further delay.
After examining the issues raised by the Association representatives, DGP Sri CV Anand acknowledged the importance of timely elections and directed the concerned officials to make appropriate arrangements and complete the process expeditiously.The DGP reiterated that a democratically elected Association would further strengthen communication between police personnel and the department while contributing positively toward the welfare of the police personnel.
