Passport verification in 3 days

Cyberabad CP Anand and RPO Ashwini Sattaru distributing tabs.
Passport verification in Cyberabad Police Commissionerate jurisdiction will be done in three days by employing tablets and online procedure using software polydyne. The first of its kind project in the country is unveiled by Cyberabad Commissioner C.V.Anand in the presence of regional passport officer(RPO) Ashwini Sattaru and Inspector-General(Intelligence) Shivadhar Reddy. They distributed 70 tabs to the police personnel involved in the passport verification and these tabs were purchased by the police department through a tender process for Rs 16 lakh.

In the past, on an average, passport verification process takes 13 days due to lack of gadgets and other technical issues.

Explaining the new system, Mr.Anand said  passport applications received from the passport office would be forwarded every day to the field-level officer through the software. "The official will verify the application on his tab, contact and meet the applicant, cross check his credentials and send a report online to the passport verification cell. The entire process will take three days time.Apart from that the new concept will bring down the complaints on police men" Anand added.

This new procedure will expedite the process of passport verification in the vast spread of Cyberabad jurisdiction.
