Preliminary test held for SCT constable posts

 For the aspirants of police jobs, the first round of test is over with their appearing for Preliminary Written Test (PWT) for recruitment to SCT Constable vacancies on Sunday. Around 44,798 candidates appeared for the exam in 92 centers across the city  competing for 2000 posts, 1400 in CAR & 600 in civil,  in City police Commissionerate limits.

City Police Commissioner  Mr.CV Anand  visited  examination centres in Osmania University where TSLPRB exams were held. “The preliminary written test has been conducted smoothly, by abiding by all the norms and regulation. City police has made elaborate arrangements at the exam centers. Senior officers also made surprise checks at various centers.”  he said.

“ City police has offered the free Pre-recruitment training for aspiring candidates in all the five zones. “ he added.

To facilitate further process, Biometric attendance of all the candidates including digital fingerprints and digital photographs were captured. Upon clearing the preliminary test, the candidates will have to attend the PET and the final written test.

Becoming nostalgic, CV Anand recollected that he studied MA Economics in room no 57 of this historic building during 1989-91. His favourite economics lecturers were Professors Raghuram , Tippa Reddy and Kishen Rao . He recalled studying for the Civil services exam simultaneously at Hyderabad study circle and writing the exam in 1991 itself and also getting the MA Economics Gold medal on May 2 nd and getting a rank of 77 All India and getting IPS Home state in May 4 rth - 2 days later - and joining IPS  at the age of 22

Quarterly reward mela held at TSPICCC-

 The quarterly reward mela of the HCP was held at the new iCCC and Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate building Banjarahills(TSPICCC)  .Around 300 police personnel, from PCs to Inspectors  and two civilians were rewarded by the City police chief Mr.CV Anand.

This reward distribution is being done at the end of every quarter to appreciate the hard working police personnel & spread the spirit amongst the others . The performance of cops working in various units, PSs of Hyderabad City has been screened on various parameters such as technical expertise, file management, responsiveness,  swift apprehension, investigation & detection of cases etc., 

Addressing the rewardees, CP Anand said recalled how the technological advancements, visible police fleet has increased the confidence among the public. He pointed that Snatchings, HBs and other general crimes has decreased. 

“ Indeed your efforts  in day-to-day policing and crime detection amidst the handling of year long festival bando-busts and other events has paid great dividends in policing.  SHE teams, Bharosa centers ensured that women are safe “ said Mr.Anand.“

“You should always try your best to upkeep this performance and ensure effective policing for the safety of citizens.” He added.

GOOD CITIZENS AWARDS 

The HCP has decided to reward civilians who help in detection, prevention of crime and help out the police in maintaining peace and order .

Mr.Riyajuddin and Goutam jaland,  who self-lessly contributed and worked along with the police were appreciated and rewarded by the city police chief.This is the first time where two good Samaritans were rewarded along with the officers.Mr Riyazuddin helped the police by stopping the spread of fake news in the locality and Gautam Jaland worked along with HCP and rendered service to the public during covid-19 wave.

CV Anand pays homage to Raja Bahadur Venkata Ram Reddy

 City Police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand garlanded the statue of Raja Bahadur Venkata Ram Reddy on the occasion of his 153rd birth anniversary celebrations organised by Raja Bahadur Venkat Ramyreddy Educational society here at YMCA ‘X’road, Narayanaguda.  CP Anand attended as the chief guest  and hailed the pioneering contributions made by Raja Bahadur Venkata Ram Reddy who served as the 14th Kotwal during the Nizam  era. 

   “The kotwal system predates 1847 and the  reforms made by him marked their presence in the glorious 174 years history of city police . In his 14 years service as city Kotwal, handling both civic & policing works ,he relentlessly worked on abolishing many social evils prevalent in those times.” said the city police chief.

He was the first hindu kotwal whose administrative reforms impressed the Nizam rulers. The educational  institutions established by him to uplift the society  still pays rich dividends,  said Mr.Anand while citing how his own  family also got benefitted by studying in those institutions

 He appreciated the executive body of the institution and presented Gold medals and Rs 5000 cash each  to U.Madhan Kumar Goud,  SI CCS Hyderabad City and Upender Rao; Inspector,- Amangal circle, Cyberabad for their outstanding performance in recent times.

Internal resources optimised to enhance visible policing

 HCP chief Mr.CV Anand has been taking continuous steps for improving the police practices and systems in Hyderabad city. In this regard the CP had recently constituted a Committee with Sri.Kartikeya IPS  Jt. CP, CAR HQ, Sri.Gaja Rao Bhupal IPS Jt. CP,DD and Sri.Satish DCP, IT Cell with the assistance of Sri Burhan Ali ,ADCP (MT) to study the existing Police Patrol system  to  enhance  visible policing, optimise the utilisation of resources available to curb  crime in large jurisdictional areas  in Hyderabad city.  

In view of the above, the committee has studied extensively the Patrol Car system, the Dial 100 calls volume and the jurisdictions of all PS in Hyderabad city with the aid of last 1year data made available through technology initiatives in vogue in Hyderabad city police IT cell.

With an objective for swift Police services response to public grievances redressed through Patrol car delivery mechanism in  times of emergency and to enhance the overall visibility of Police the committee has made certain recommendations.

The CP has given orders to strengthen the Patrol system by allotting additional patrol cars and manpower to the existing patrol fleet of 2 Police stations - Banjara Hills & Jubilee Hills. These PS are having large jurisdiction area, high Dial 100 call volume and thus high work load. This step will significantly improve the response time of the field Police officers to attend Dial 100 calls as quickly as possible besides enhancement of visibility and to improve confidence among common the public.

Police Stations having larger jurisdictions have also been allotted extra quota of fuel for their Patrol vehicles. Now 104 Police patrol cars are allotted additional fuel per month by rationalisation of work load and kms covered. 

This step is a welcome and another positive initiative for better man management and resource optimization exercise of Hyderabad city police.

Taskforce performance reviewed

       In a meeting held at Hyderabad City police headquarters, TSPICCC- Banjara hills, 17 Floor Conference Hall, City police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand held a half-yearly review of all the 5 task force teams  of all zones. He analysed the turnout of work and reports  and sensational cases detected ,seizures, raids conducted and other enforcement measures.he set a direction to the teams to  be followed ahead of major festivals,  processions and emphasized on the strategic  strides to be initiated to  keep the city safe from anti-social.

        CP  appreciated the good work done by the task force teams.”anyone can fail but task force cannot fail” he told them and appreciated them for keeping the organised crime in such a big metropolitan city under strict check .

 Organisers of gambling, gaming , betting , satta, fake materials of various kinds, pds rice, gutka, narcotics etc were being continuously raided and a total of  1020 cases were detected,  Arrested  2087 persons and handed over to local police.

“Focus on enhancing operational tactics to intervene in the end-to-end supply chain and apprehend the drug peddlers, transporters, suppliers and cultivators .” said CP Anand while reiterating the tough stance of the state Govt and City police against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

Teams were also tasked to act stringently on rowdy sheeters and counsel them so as to prevent their involvement in criminal activities. The bandobust duties, planning  for the forthcoming Ganesh festival and other important events were discussed in this meeting.

At the end, Commissioner rewarded the top performers who have apprehended accused in sensational cases.

Coordination meeting held at CP office

 HCP Chief CV Anand ,on Thursday, chaired the inter-department  coordination meeting held at Hyderabad CP office auditorium, at ICCC- Banjara hills for the smooth conclusion of upcoming Ganesh chaturthi festival to be celebrated on August 31st and the immersion of idols on September 9th. 

At the outset,  CP Anand thanked all the departments and the community members for their cooperation in the past 8 months during which many religious festivals and major events concluded peacefully.

 CP Anand  in his address emphasised upon the attendees for streamlining the coordination and urged the representatives of the community to comply with the court orders issued in connection with idol immersions etc., and also sought the opinions of the attendees.  The meeting delved into various aspects of the festival celebration, idols immersions and the procession routes .

City police chief appealed to duly fill the intimation forms and ensure proper security, CCTV coverage at the pandals and assured full cooperation.” The peace committees must onboard more youngsters to counter any misleading social media posts.” he said.

The authorities has also assured re-dressal of various issues brought to the fore by the Utsav samithi members and agreed to deploy all material & human resources.

“Road repair works, illumination, and other civic works are being taken up on the procession route. The point of contact ,stationed officers at each location will be shared to all the stakeholders ” Said GHMC commissioner SR Lokesh kumar .He also apprised the attendees on the number of cranes being deployed and additional deployment of staff 24/7 during the immersion event.

The electricity department officials has briefed on providing transformers, shock proof arrangements at high foot print areas.  

The transport department officials has assured of providing tuskers, other heavy vehicles at 14 pooling centers which would be staffed by RTOs, MVIs and other officers.

The meeting was attended by GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Mr.Stephen Ravindra, Ganesh Utsav Samithi  members and senior officers from R&B, Electricity, fire department, transport and other departments.

HCP bags freedom cup organised by North Zone police

Today on the occasion of "Swatantra Bharatha Vajrotsava Dwisapthama"  North Zone Police of Hyderabad City  organised " freedom cup " T-10 cricket tournament at Gymkhana grounds, Begumpet.The tournament was inaugurated by Sri CV Anand, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad.

A total of four teams participated in the tournament. Doctors team comprising doctors of osmania general hospital & Gandhi hospital, media team ,GHMC and Hyderabad City Police team.

In the first match held between   doctors  &  media team, the  media team won the match by 85 run and qualified for the finals. The second match Ghmc vs  Hyderabd city police, the Hyderabad City Police   won by 71 run and qualified for the final. 

CP Anand  played a great innings and scored 47 runs in 29 balls. 

The  final match was between media-11 and Hyderbad city police in which media team gave a target 73 run. HCP scored 54 runs for 3 wickets in 5 overs and the match was declared "won by Hyderabad city police" based on the run rate dls method.

City police commissioner held a meeting with all SHOs to review Ganesh Chaturthi preparatory arrangements

 City Police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand held a coordination meeting with all SHOs and senior officers of city police  here at City Police headquarters, TSPICCC- Banjara hills. 

A  slew of instructions were issued by the CP CV Anand during the meeting  regarding setting up of idols, intimation forms and  immersion of  Plaster of paris idols and clay idols, the procession routes and precautions.With some of the SHO s and DCPs being fresh to the city police and doing this bandobust for the first time , the CP and his staff officers spent lot of time in explaining the various aspects of the preparatory works for the biggest event in the HCP calendar .

 
 Speaking at the meeting , the CP said that “all the festivals since January of various communities were conducted peacefully despite the huge turnout of crowds post covid, and so were so many other programmes and events. Those were all quarter finals and semi finals , Ganesh bandobust is the finals and I am sure u will all rise to the occasion and do equally well “

CP Anand said that the organisers must intimate the concerned SHOs about setting up of idol and obtain permission. Instructions were given to immerse POP idols at baby/artificial ponds.clarity was given regarding the court orders and the efforts made till date and the Khairatabad Ganesh committee agreeing to use clay for its idol and how to go about implementing it in conjunction with GHMC and other departments. There will be coordination meetings with the organisers of these mandapams at every level to decide about the installation so as not to inconvenience general public. Power, water , barricading etc will be discussed.

The peace committee members should be actively involved and precautions should be taken for watching social media and mischievous posts.

Independence Day Celebrations at TSPICCC

 On the eve of Independence day, City police commissioner Mr.CV Anand hoists the national flag at Hyderabad city police commissionerate, TSPICCC- Banjara hills.

Addressing the gathering, CP Anand said that the sacrifices and courage of freedom fighters should be remembered. “Children should be taught about the valour and supreme sacrifice made by the freedom fighters,” he said. 

“Freedom fighters continue to inspire us to work for a prosperous and ever stronger India,” he added. 

“The nation has surpassed many milestones in the last 7 decades and progressing in all spheres. May our nation scale new heights in years to come,” he concluded. 

He appealed to the police officers to render police services effectively to public. 

The civilians, police personnel, and their wards were appealed to actively participate in the ongoing “Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsava dwisapthaham” celebrations to be concluded on 22nd August, an initiative of the Hon’ble CM to commemorate 75 years of independence.

Patriotic fervour engulfs City

 To commemorate Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsava Dwi Saptaham, the Hyderabad City Police organised a freedom run. Hon’ble Home Minister, Sri Mohammed Mahmood Ali , Animal husbandry minister Sri Talasani Srinivas Yadav along with other dignitaries flagged off the 5k freedom run which started from the iconic Telangana State Police Integrated Command and Control Center.

Prior to this the guests addressed the youngsters  and rekindled the history of the nation before Independence and recalled the struggle and sacrifices of the freedom fighters.


As the cool monsoon breeze and the musical warm-up sessions ignited a relaxing vibe, the police personnel and  their family members , general public participated in the event with excitement and patriotic fervour. As part of the programme, a 300 metre national flag was carried in the 5K run. 

City Police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand  welcomed and congratulated all the participants while the chief secretary Somesh kumar encouraged them to engage in fitness and community-betterment activities and called upon the youngsters to draw inspiration from the freedom fighters whose dedication and commitment to the nation laid a bright path for future generations.

CP Anand watches "Gandhi" movie along with school children

The patriotic fervour and excitement marked as 1200 school children  watched the “Gandhi” movie screened in GVK Mall, Banjara hills. As part of Swatantra Bharatha Vajrotsava Dwi Sapthaham celebrations, the Hyderabad City Police has made arrangements for the screening of the film.

 “The Hon’ble CM wanted it to be shown to  the children to inculcate a sense of patriotism and the valour of our freedom fighters, the value of freedom.”  Said City Police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand who watched the movie along with the children at GVK mall,  Banjarahills.
“To my surprise, these budding youngsters watched the film with unwavering attention and paid  a standing ovation to the father of the nation. “  he said.

Addressing the students on the occasion, CP Anand explained how the stature of the country has increased  in all spheres globally and the contribution of the Telangana in the over all nation’s growth. 

He urged them to be all-rounders by following  discipline, social responsibility. “You must put nation first as your prime idea and contribute to nation’s growth which would be everyone’s pride.” he concluded.

Muharram procession passed off peacefully

 As the mourning mood prevaded, The traditional “Bibi Ki Alam” procession, taken out on the 10th day of Muharram, in the old city of Hyderabad passed off peacefully amid tight security cover & traffic arrangements made  by the Hyderabad City Police ever since the beginning of Muharram.

The massive procession began from "Bibi Ka alawa" in Dabeerpura with the "alam" kept on a decorated elephant. As thousands of people stood along the roads to pay their respects, the procession after    passing through various parts of the city including Bada bazaar, Nayapol, Salarjung bridge reached Masjid-E-Ilahi, Chaderghat on the banks of Musi river.

 City Police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand accompanied by senior echelons of L&O, traffic, monitored the procession and issued timely instructions to the field officers. He  made  an offering to the alam and lauded the general public, organisers for their cooperation.

“Over 1200 police personnel guarded the mourning procession. " said Mr.Anand.

CP Anand visits Bibi Ka Alam

Ahead of Muharram procession to be held tomorrow , city police commissioner Mr CV Anand visited the historic Bibi Ka Alam and offered Dhattis. Accompanied by L &O, Traffic and other officers CP Anand supervised the security and traffic arrangements and inspected the CCTV coverage .

The clerics briefed the history and its significance. 

Interacting with the media he said that the city police are rendering  support from the past nine days and the deployment will be scaled up for tomorrow’s procession.

“Traffic restrictions , restrictive perimeter  around the elephant carrying the alam  will be in place on the full stretch of the procession route.” said Mr. Anand.He appealed the public to cooperate with the police. 

Swatantra Bharatha Vajrotsava Dwi Sapthaham

Held a VC with all SHOs and staff officers to review the arrangements for Swatantra Bharatha Vajrotsava Dwi Sapthaham, a two week program being organised by the State Government to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.

Finalised viable plan for organising the series of events with emphasis on India’s accomplishments, glorious history , patriotism through sports events, rallies, door-to-door flag hoisiting and other cultural programs.

Hon'ble CM Sri KCR inaugurates TSPICCC

 Telangana Chief Minister Sri K.Chandra Shekar rao inaugurated the Telangana State Police Integrated Command and Control Centre, a nerve center of operations & disaster management.



Feature of TSPICC:

This elite infra houses the Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate and the Technology Fusion Centre.

Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate Tower-A, the tallest amongst all towers (G+19), houses the Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate. All staff officers of the Special Branch, IT, Administration, Finance, Cyber wing etc., will be functioning from this Tower. The latest technological advancements and IT office infra equips the City police personnel to tackle any challenges in the state capital, which is a home for 10 million diverse people from various parts of the globe, and is rapidly progressing by emerging as the global investors favourite destination. 

Fusion Centre 

The Fusion Centre spread across Tower-A, B and E has 3 crucial components bringing large amounts of disparate information, analyzing the same and using the results to make mission critical decisions. 

1. Integrated Command & Control Centre: An amalgamation of Command & Control Centre, State Emergency Operational Centre, Multi-Agency Operations & Disaster Management Centre, Data Centre. Centre of Excellence TS Police Operational Wings.

Integrated Command & Control Centre spread across 4th floor to 7th floor in Tower-E, lying between Tower-A & B, is a nerve center for operations and disaster management. The ICCC is envisaged to aggregate information across multiple applications, CCTVs and traffic, weather sensors deployed across the state, and then provide actionable information with appropriate visualization for decision makers. 

The intuitive application, along with the watch of specific CCTV feeds casted to the video wall, also smartly works in the backend and capable of triggering alerts on crowd gathering, geo-fence alerts, un-attended baggage, traffic congestion etc., This ICCC also embraces the state emergency operational centre (Dial 100) which handles all SOS calls pertaining to Police, Fire, Medical and other emergency services. With designated representatives of various Government departments, a multi-agency operation &  disaster management centre has also been setup which works in tandem with CCC, State emergency operational centre fostering a collaborative approach to respond to any calamity swiftly. The entire facility can be viewed from the war room that can be occupied by senior echelons of the state police, other Government departments and the concerned ministers. 

This enables monitoring, make real-time decisions and virtually engage with the field staff. All and all, the ICCC standardizes response protocol, enhance collaboration through its different layers and components and empower the frontline officers by providing geographical and situational awareness and actionable intelligence. The state Data Centre in this building is the critical & sophisticated IT infra that handles all the operations of the aforementioned ICCC components.
