CV Anand calls on the community to end the salvage practice of targeting inter-faith couples

City Police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand met the bereaved the family members of Neeraj Panwar, who was murdered  allegedly  over his inter-caste  marriage. CP  expressed deep grief  and assured them of stringent action against the murderers by ensuring expeditious investigation and trial in the case.

The incident happened on 10 days ago   when Neeraj  was travelling on a motorbike.The attackers brutally killed him by assaulting with stones and knives. City police team has deployed special teams and arrested Nine  persons who were involved in this crime.

Since the incident has erupted mild tensions between two communities,  CP Anand  conveyed a meeting with the elders of  both communities  at the  Conference Hall of Shahinayatgunj  Police Station. 

The community members were clearly  told to stop targeting each other and to end up the savage practice of resorting to attacks on inter-faith couples.  He urged the elders of the community to ensure peace and harmony prevails. Police  warned the erring youngsters and the parents were told to keep a tab  on the activities.

“The scourge of so-called honour killings is a threat to humanity and love. This heinous crimes destroys   the  happiness,  wealth and future of both families. Apart from law enforcement agencies, it is high  time civil society and organisations work to bring out substantial change in the thinking of the ignorant groups  to mitigate this evil in course of time.” Said CP Anand.

“We will liaison with court officials to expedite the trials through  fast track court and ensure conviction is achieved at the earliest.” he added.

CP Rewards cops for their kind gestures

 Cops of Hyderabad City police who went beyond the normal call of their duty and displayed human  virtues of kindness   were appreciated by City Police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand.

 On Friday, an old lady in her 80s faced difficulty  to go back to home after finishing her work at SJ Rotary. Traffic homeguard Syed Shafiuddin posted at Mirchowk traffic PS  comforted the octogenarian. Later the home guard  dropped her home in his vehicle.

In another instance, WPC Priyanka of Karkhana PS noticed an old lady who lost her consciousness due to sun stroke .Constable priyanka took her to the PS and offered her water, food.The old lady was touched by this gesture and blessed the staff.

A police official  helped a girl student in reaching her home safely. The girl student after finishing her SSC exam at Basheerbagh stranded on road as her parents didn’t attend the call. Noticing the girl in distress, B.Ramakrishna Rao(ASI) of Abids PS  dropped the girl safely at home. 

Constables T.Narasimha and A.ramu who were posted  at Dabeerpura  PS swiftly responded to a distress call and saved a person who attempted to commit suicide. 

CP Anand presented cash rewards and appreciation certificates to the officers.  “Our officers set examples of humanity by helping the ones in distress. This is an indicative of the compassionate hearts of our officers  and their commitment to ensure the safety of all citizens, regardless of  circumstances.” Said Mr.Anand

CP s meeting with pub, bar , drive in restaurant owners

In the wake of the recent case of Mink and Pudding Pub and the finding of cocaine in it s premises , frequent complaints being reported from public on  sound pollution, parking congestion, misbehaviour by drunken people coming out of bars & pubs and on  reports of usage of drugs , Hyderabad City police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand  held a meeting with the owners of pubs, Bar & restaurants, drive-in restaurants owners in the CP conference hall today.

In his opening remarks CP briefly  shared the internal reports, complaints received from the public on various pubs, bars in the city. He informed them that “due to the efforts of the State Government,Hyderabad city has become an  investors favourite as it fulfils all parameters of the investors from abroad and other parts of India, like excellent law and order ,Women Safety, EODB and fast clearances and a good Night life. So we expect you to run business in a responsible manner  and uphold the reputation of the city and state which is getting compromised by just a few of you who want to violate norms for petty gains and there. Please decrease inconvenience to the residents.”  he appealed.

Through a power point presentation police commissioner kept all the attendees informed about prevailing norms laid down in the city police act and apprised to conduct their businesses  within the framework of the act  and that police will henceforth restart the duty assigned to it by the Law . 

They were also instructed not to allow under aged persons, and to restrict the sound levels.

The managements were also asked to  Install CCTVs with  30 days backup & dedicated team to monitor ,sound proofing the premises,  engaging valet drivers, frisking staff, customers  etc., City police made it clear that stringent action will be initiated on erring managements who resort to illegal activities.

CP stressed that orders received  beyond 11pm shouldn’t be accepted and close the establishment by 12am, and on Friday,Saturday an extra 1 hour exception is allowed with half and hour grace period to clean up and settle accounts .Customers can be politely notified  by  dimming the lights prior to 10 mins of closing, a common practice  in developed countries.

The spirit of according permission to the star rated hotels (four star and above) to serve liquor for 24 hours is in view of its international travellers or delegates, but not for the general public.

 “Adhering to the priority laid down on  Ease of doing business by the state government, we will soon facilitate an option online in our website through which you can apply for renewals and other licenses and there shall be minimum interaction and no harassment by the police “assured Mr.Anand

“Let Hyderabad be known as the safest  city in the world and not as a place where drugs are also easily available and let us work together “he said

CP conducted a video conference with all police personnel

City police commissioner Mr.CV Anand held a video conference with all SHOs and above rank officers.also in attendance were all the available staff HG s, constables of the police stations CP informed them that a brief health survey of all police stations of west zone has revealed that almost 60 % of the staff are suffering from either diabetes , high BP or other life style diseases and their BMI s are beyond reasonable limits A health programme is being initiated for the entire 17,000 commissionerate staff wherein ,firstly a master check up will be done and then the correct diet ,daily exercise and daily monitoring of health parameters will be done with an App which is being developed and will be launched soon . Spouses of all will also be involved in this process. 

 The CP warned all the SHOs and Officers regarding growing organised crime in some areas and proliferation of gaming dens , hookah and cross massage parlours . He informed that the connivance of sultan bazaar police has been found in registration of several gambling den cases by task force and also abuse of law in civil disputes which has led to suspension of the SHO Bixapathi and cautioned everyone that no one will be spared on this count He asked all officers to focus on spurious seeds , installation of new and repair of old Cctv s , ACP and above rank officers to be available for petitioners from 3 to 5 pm daily and asked them to put up boards accordingly for public to know . While reiterating state Govt’s firm stand on controlling the illicit trafficking and drug abuse, he exhorted all officers to take measures in their respective jurisdictions to make the city free from the scourge of organised crime. “No individual is permitted to take out rallies or permissions without prior permission. The required permissions and renewals for various on street activities has to be obtained.Public order on roads shouldn’t be disrupted by anyone.” Said the CP while instructing on the effective enforcement of city police act.

 All officers were told to remain alert on sensitive communal issues that are often triggered through social media. As the spread of virus has gone down, it has been decided to restart the Cordon & Search operations in all zones. 

To increase the coverage, new CCTVs installation at vital points will resume with the help of community and corporate sponsors. Traffic officials were instructed to initiate monsoon preparedness and ensure all the tools & machines are functional and available to clear the water logging points swiftly and chalking out contingency diversion plans.

 They were also apprised to enforce city police act effectively to tackle the wrong parking issue that often leads to traffic congestion. 

 Enhancing internal operations efficiency, communication network, personnel matters and other administrative issues were discussed in detail. Police commissioner appreciated all the officers for their outstanding efforts in handling a series of religious processions, bandobusts , tackling agitations and other sensitive issues in the previous month.

BRIEF FACTS:-

On 16.03.2022 at about 08:00 PM the complainant Sri Jog Singh gave              50 Lakhs cash bag to his worker Mitta Lalwith an instruction to hand overat his house.While his worker carrying the cash bag on two wheeler, some unknown persons came on motor cycle and forcibly robbed the cash bag and sped away from the spot. Basing on the contents of complaint a case was registered atAfzalgunjPolice Station vide Cr. No. 107/2022, U/s 395 IPC.

MODUS OPERANDI:-:-

All the above said accused native of Rajasthan State. They were migrated to Hyderabad and doing various businesses in Begum Bazar, Hyderabad. All the accused well known to each other and they are close friends. One of the accused Khim Raj Purohit and the complainant Sri Jog Singh are adjacent villagers in Rajasthan State. Presently, Jog Singhis running whole sale steel business in Begum Bazar and Khim Raj Purohit is doing transport work on his own Auto trolley in Hyderabad City. Khim Raj Purohitisaware ofbusinessand moneytransactions of Jog Singh. Meantime, he observed that, Jog Singh regularly handing over the business money to one of his worker Mitta Laland sending the cash to his house before closing their establishment.

The earnings of Khim Raj Purohit are not sufficient to lead his family.  In this juncture, he hatched a plan by colluding with Vicky Raj Purohit and Manoj Panwar to Rob the money from Mitta Lal. Due to criminal back ground of Vicky Raj Purohit and Manoj, they given the target to their friends namely VishnuGopalVyas @ Bunty, Tikam Chand @ Babluand colluded with each other to commit robbery. On 16.03.2022 as per their plan, all the accused observed the Mitta Lalat the shop. When Mitta Lal started with cash bag, Vicky, Manoj and Khim Raj Purohit passed the information to VishnuGopalVyas @ Bunty, Tikam Chand @ Bablu. Immediately,Bunty and Bablufollowed Mitta Lalon another bike, when they reached by lane nearby Jog Singh house they forcibly stopped Mitta Laland robbed the cash bag(containing Rs. 50 Lakhs)by hitting him.Later, they shared some of the amount for their expenses and handed over some amount to MiteshChoudharyfor safe custody and for further share. 

Police busts online matrimony fraud

 The team of Cyber Crime Police of CCS, Detective Department, Hyderabad arrested one accused person namely Mothe Ashok R/o Nuzvid, Krishna Dist who cheated the complainant in guise of marriage and lured the victim to deposit the money in his own bank account by citing various reasons for an approximate amount of Rs. 45 Lakhs. He is involved Cr. No. 716/2022 of PS Cyber Crime, CCS, Hyderabad. 

Facts of the Case: -

The brief facts of the case are that, on 22.04.2022 received a complaint from a resident of Jubilee hills, Hyderabad stating that in the year 2020 February he came in contact with one ID Indhusha Tummala (Facebook ID).  He received a message from her and started conversation. The victim fell in love and wanted to marry Indusha. The account holder requested money for various reasons and the victim believed her version and transferred Rs. 45 Lakhs (approximately) during 2 years period.  Later he realized that he was cheated and asked to return his money.

Name of the arrested persons: -

1) Mothe Ashok, age: 28 yrs, Occ: Un-Employee, R/o Nuzvid, Krishna Dist 

M.O. of the offender: -

The accused Mothe Ashok belongs to Nuzvid of Krishna Dist. He discontinued his B-Tech in final year due to his bad vices. While he was watching crime news in YouTube channels, where he noticed a news regarding a male person who got cheated through Facebook on pretext of marriage, the accused was also male and cheated by posing as a girl in Facebook. So he hatched a plan to pretend as a girl in Facebook and cheat gullible male person. In the month of February-2020 he opened one fake Facebook account with profile ID: "Indhusha Tummala" and pretended as girl and sent friend requests to unknown persons on Facebook randomly and used to chat with them as a girl.

 In the same month the complainant of this case accepted friend request. From that time onwards, the accused Mr. Ashok used to chat with him as girl and used to talk with him as girl from his mobile phone using voice changer App with which one can change his voice to female voice.  By believing the accused’s false words, the victim deposited/transferred an amount of Rs.45 lakhs.

One mobile phone and an amount of Rs.2 lakhs were recovered from the accused.

Caution: - Public should be cautious while accepting friend requests from strange persons and shall not transfer funds/amounts believing their prepositions and without verifying facts.

City Police Ethical hacking team nabs a Cyber Crook

 The Cyber Crime Police of Hyderabad City nabbed a hacker by name Vannam Sriram Dinesh Kumar of Vijayawada, who hacked an amount of Rs.52.9 lakhs from the data base server of PayG payment gate way and his associate Chintu Nagasai Hanamakonda chartered accountant. 

Facts of the case:

The facts of the case are that the complainant who is an employee of Xsilica software Solutions Pvt Ltd lodged a complaint on 17-03-2022 stating that their account was hacked on 15/16-03-2022 and an amount of Rs.52.9 lakhs was diverted to other accounts.

Basing on the above content registered a case Cr No 458/2022 U/S 66 (C), (D) ITA Act & 419, 420 IPC was registered in Cyber Crime P.S, CCS, DD, Hyderabad.

The accused was apprehended at Vijayawada in the early hours today and an amount of Rs.17.2 lakhs was recovered from his possession and another Rs.14 lakhs was found in his bank account with HDFC bank. Three Laptops and 12 mobile phones, one tab, 33 credit/debit card along with some bank documents were also recovered from the accused.

   MO of the accused:

The accused Vannam Sriram Dinesh Kumar created USER ID in payment gateway PayG by using disposable mail id and phone number. Then the accused used open source software tools for evaluating the vulnerabilities of the payment gateway PayG. Later the accused obtained the user ID of Super Admin of the payment gateway PayG. Using the software he gained access into the main data base server utilizing the vulnerabilities existing in the payment gateway software. 

After entering into the data server, he transferred a total amount of Rs.52.9 lakhs from the nodal account of PayG to three virtual bank accounts existing with Yes Bank, Equitas Bank and ICICI bank. The total amount was finally transferred to www.bitcoiva.com. where he purchased bitcoins from www.bitcoiva.com.  He later transferred these bitcoins into another crypto account in www.remitano.com., from there he sold the bitcoins and encashed the amount. The accused developed a method, wherein, he identifies vulnerabilities in the software of payment gateways and uses these gaps to hack into their core servers and divert money.    

  Investigation Challenges 

1) Suspect person used VPN IPs to mask his identity.

2) Suspect collected Adhaar cards from innocent people and from internet, used them as KYC documents and thereby created virtual bank accounts to mask identity.

3) Used fake mobile numbers.

Home Minister visits CCC Banjara Hills

 Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Mohammed Mahmood Ali  on Tuesday   visited the upcoming Command control center in Banjara Hills. Accompained by DGP Shri Mahender Reddy and   City Police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand, he inspected all the floors and reviewed pending works.

The contractors, R&B officials and Hyderabad City police  made a detailed presentation and briefed him on the iconic structure and its features and the status of various works.

“Hyderabad City Police joined the elite line up of having a top class command control center .With good L&O in the city & state, many multi national companies established their offices here and many investors are showing up interest to invest in Telangana.” Said Hon’ble Home minister.

“This iconic 20 floor  building, designed and executed as per the  green building norms,  in houses the largest video wall that acts as a multi-agency operational center  and accommodates office of the CP Hyderabad. This has 4 towers  connected by a sky bridge at 14th floor and  have a grand police musuem.” Said the DGP while outlining the salient features of the upcoming technology fusion center.

A  Command control center spread out from 4th floor to 7th floor with  a  giant video wall, data center and  war room is literally a safe space for the top rungs of the police leadership to hash out pressing issues.

“This building is the brain child of the Hon’ble chief minister and state government  aimed at enhancing  safety and security of the people.It is equipped with state-of-the-art computer equipment, communication links(Dial 100) , dispatch capabilities, and live video feeds from cameras   The Command and Control Center enables the police   to deliver an immediate response to threats on public and also helps in collaborative event management.” Said CP CV Anand.

“This has much in common with today's tactical operations centers overseas and also has a helipad and multilevel mechanical  parking for 500 cars.” he added.

Pre-recruitment Training launched in south Zone

 City Police commissioner Mr. CV Anand launched the Pre-recruitment training for 1200 job aspirants in southzone here on monday at OS function hall, Chandrayanagutta. 

In his spontaneous and friendly interaction with the aspirants CP emphasised on time management, preparation strategies. He instructed them to take full advantage of the 3 free month PRT, backed by the generosity of state government and sponsors. 

“Unless you revise what has been taught in the classes, you wouldn’t be able to succeed. The efforts that you  put in these 3 months will reward  you with  a promising career in the police force. “ said Mr. Anand.

“All the recruitments will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner.” he concluded. 

 HCP  has done a meticulous planning, right from announcing PRT to its launch.A record number of 21000 applications were received online for PRT out of which around 16,000 attempted the exam and finally 7,133 were selected. The entire coaching for a period of 3 months @8 hours per day is free for the aspirants , which otherwise would cost them atleast 10,000 rupees per month.

The State Level Police Recruitment Board issued  notifications for filling up over 16,600 posts. Of the total posts, around   1950 vacancies are to be filled in Hyderabad City Police.

Bharosa 6th Anniversary

 A program to mark the sixth  foundation anniversary of the Bharosa Cell was held on Saturday in the presence of City Police Commissioner, Mr.CV Anand ; Smt Divya Devarajan, Commisioner Women & Child Welfare Dept.

Speaking on the occasion HCP chief said that Bharosa Center was formed to provide  aid and counseling to the victims. Backed by the support of other state government departments, HCSC the center facilitates rehabilitation of juveniles, a special cell for providing mental health support to children, a temporary residential facility for women undergoing counselling, legal aid regarding domestic violence and attempts to provide immediate assistance to senior citizens in need. 

“Since its inception Bharosa center is eventful in ensuring convictions in all sexual assault cases with on-board court room, medical and legal aid teams. Women safety is the top priority of the State Government. Coordination between the city police and Women & Child welfare Department has to be further institutionalised to further enhance the operations of the center.” the CP said.

“The rise in statistical figures shouldn’t be misinterpreted or portray as a threat to the safety. Rather  it should be seen as a good sign as more victims are coming forward to report as the state government and police department facilitated a safe environment to maintain the confidentiality of the victim and supporting them by all means.” Opined Mr.Anand.


Addressing the gathering Smt.Divya Devarajan said that plans are afoot to replicate the HCP’s Bharosa center model across the state. She exhorted the staff of child welfare department to strive for excellence and assured that their department will stand firmly along with the police to help the victims.

CP Anand along with the other dignitaries flagged off the AV vehicle, sponsored by NCC Urban Infrastructure Ltd MD Sri Alluri Narayana Raju – a member of HCSC, to campaign the activities of Bharosa center and sensitize the public in their localities. He appreciated and thanked the members of HCSC for their extended support for Bharosa. Mr.Anand instructed his deputies to take up aggressive campaign on the services offered by Bharosa Center and SHE teams.

Later the staff of Bharosa center and HCSC were rewarded  by the police commissioner. The event concluded with the screening of a short film.

CP hints on enhancing inter-agency cooperation

 To fight against drug trafficking at the crucial stage of transportation,  Hyderabad City Police hints at the  enhancement of  inter-agency cooperation among ED, NCB,CISF,Customs, DRI and state police units and aims to take part in the  global chain of drug interdiction by supporting inter-agency cooperation, encouraging real-time communication and promoting an intelligence led-approach.

“It’s time to think strategically about ways in which law enforcement can attack the  major drug trafficking gangs at their most vulnerable points.” The 4 recent seizures in Hyderabad airport totalling 14 kegs of heroine worth 125 crore rupees from four Tanzanians, have all reached a dead end of investigation by the DRI . Unless the local state police gets into this investigation, this scourge may go on undetected opined CP Anand. The NCB figures of 8-10 crore drug addicts in India, a 7 times increase in drugs supply in the last decade , the complicated sea , land and air network from the Golden crescent and golden triangle areas are all quite disturbing. A more coordinated effort is required.

On the other hand, to make the drug addicts  free from the scourge of organized crime, today City police commissioner Mr.CV Anand also exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding with the  representatives of 1.The Asha Group hospitals 2.Phoenix Rehab Services and 3. Amrita foundation. 

These organizations will treat the drug addicts on all levels for a period of 8 weeks in 12 sessions and further subject them to undergo urine,blood tests at least 3 times in the span of 8 weeks to monitor the activities. 

A team in HCP will also liaison with Institute of Mental Health, Erragadda to facilitate the de-addiction treatment.

Till date 377 peddlers , consumers , transporters have been arrested by HCP since January and the intention to help them come out of this habit permanently

Taskforce Nabbed Interstate drug peddlers Gang

 The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone team, Hyderabad busted Inter State Drug Peddlers Gang and apprehended (4) accused persons, who were found in possession of Narcotic substance/Drug i.e. Brown Sugar (Heroin) and Ganja in order to deliver the same to needy customers at Hyderabad. Seized (225) Grams of Brown Sugar (Heroin) and (28) KGs of Ganja, Worth of Rs.23.61 Lakhs from their possession.

Brief about the Accused persons:- 

The accused Chand Shahjada Sayyed is native of Dharavi, Mumbai. In the year 2010 his father expired and his mother is housewife. Earlier he was running Sheep business. In the year 2010 he was arrested by NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau), Mumbai in drugs case. 

The accused Shaik Abdul Alam Quadri @ Rashad @ Alam is native of Bahadurpura, Hyderabad. In the year 2018 he was arrested by (Directorate of Revenue Intelligence) for transporting Dubai currency vide CC.No.18/2020 U/s 135 Customs Act.

The accused Shaik Khasim @ Chinna Khasim @ Kashi Eshwar is native of Thurimalla (V), Cumbum (M), Prakasam Dist, A.P. At present he is residing at Chilkanagar, Uppal, R.R Dist.  In the year 2018 he was arrested in NDPS case vide Cr.No.121/2018 U/s 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act-1985 of Uppal Excise PS.

 The accused Shahed Kamal is native of Chandrayangutta, Hyderabad. His father is doing Kirana shop business and his mother is housewife. At present he is doing real estate business and also doing peddling. 

Modus operandi:- 

Earlier the accused Shaik Abdul Alam Quadri used to do osmania biscuits business in Hyderabad and also used to supply biscuits to other states. But his earnings are not sufficient to meet his lavish expenses. In supply of biscuits to Mumbai where he got friendship with the accused Chand Shahjada Sayyed @ Chand who is Drug Peddler and both developed friendship with each other. At the same time the accused Shaik Abdul Alam Quadri informed him that, he intended to sell Ganja in Mumbai, for which he need mediator for selling Ganja to the needy customers in Mumbai and asked him to work for him in selling of Ganja in Mumbai. For which the accused Chand Shahjada Sayyed @ Chand agreed for selling Ganja in Mumbai.        

In the meantime through one of his friends Shaik Abdul Alam Quadri established Ganja network with Shaik Khasim @ Chinna Khasim @ Kashi Eshwar who is Ganja supplier in Paderu (M), Visakhapatnam, A.P. Shaik Khasim along with his associates used to purchase Ganja from cultivator V.Ramesh at Paderu (M), Visakhapatnam, A.P and bring to Hyderabad by Train and deliver the Ganja to Shaik Abdul Alam Quadri for Rs. 8,000/- per KG. 

The accused Chand Shahjada Sayyed @ Chand along with his associate Mahesh @ Rayees R/ Nalasapura, Mumbai who is the Drug Peddler have started doing Drug business in Mumbai. The accused Chand Shahjada Sayyed informed to Shaik Abdul Alam Quadri that in exchange of Ganja they supply Drug i.e. Heroin/ Brown sugar for Rs.1100/- per gram. For which Shaik Abdul Alam Quadri agreed and transporting Ganja to Mumbai and selling to Drug peddler Chand Shahjada Sayeed @ Chand R/o Dharavi, Mumbai for Rs.12,000/- per KG. In Exchange of Ganja with Brown sugar (Heroin) he brings the same to Hyderabad from Mumbai and deliver to the accused Shahed  Kamal who is his friend for Rs.2,500/- per gram and he is selling to his needy customers for higher price i.e. Rs.7,000/- to 9,000/- per gram. 

         Yesterday i.e. on 05-05-2022, on a tip off, West Zone Task Force team apprehended all the accused persons in the limits of Kalapathar Police Station and seized the above said property from their possession. In this case the main supplier of Ganja V.Ramesh R/o Paderu, Vishakapatnam, A.P. and Drug Peddler Mahesh @ Rayees R/o Nalasapura, Mumbai are at large. 

The accused persons along with seized material being handed over to SHO, Kalapathar Police Station for further investigation.

  Sri T.Srinath Reddy, Inspector of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone team, and SIs Sri Md.Mujaffar Ali, Sri P.Mallikarjun, Sri N.Ranjith Kumar, Sri Sheik Kaviuddin and staff of West Zone Team, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad made efforts and apprehended the Gang.

PRT launched in Central Zone

 Around 1230  job aspirants, here at RTC Kalabhava,   paid unwavering attention to the speeches and tips shared by senior officers and other mentors during the PRT launch. City police commissioner Mr. CV Anand formally lit the lamp and launched the Pre-recruitment training program, a community initiative of HCP backed by the generosity of state govt and sponsors, for the aspirants in central zone. 

HCP  has done a meticulous planning, right from announcing PRT to its launch.A record number of 21000 applications were received online for PRT out of which around 16,000 attempted the exam and finally 7,133 were selected. The entire coaching for a period of 3 months @8 hours per day is free for the aspirants , which otherwise would cost them atleast 10,000 rupees per month.

Speaking on the occasion, CP Anand exhorted the aspirants to take advantage of the 3 month free PRT  to secure  a job in the recently released state recruitments of various govt departments  in which 95% are reserved to the local candidates, an outcome of the tremendous efforts made by the  state government. 

“The State Level Police Recruitment Board issued  notifications for filling up over 16,600 posts. Of the total posts, around   2800 vacancies are to be filled in Hyderabad City Police.”he said.

In an interactive speech all the aspirants were suggested  to remain focused with determined hyper competitive attitude and shared tips on time management.”You should refrain using OTTs, social media for the next few months.” said Mr.Anand

CP visited Eidgah to review security arrangements

 Marking the culmination of holy month of Ramadan, Eid- Ul-Fitr was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety across the city under the security cover of HCP.City police made elaborate security arrangements at Mosques, open grounds and crowded areas. Traffic restrictions were imposed to avoid traffic congestion for the devout. The curbs were lifted soon after the prayers.

While reviewing security arrangements, city police commissioner Mr. CV Anand is seen celebrating  Eid with children at Eidgah near Miralam, and interacted  with Muslim brethren. Along with officers stationed , he conveyed wishes and distributed sweets. 

Speaking on the occasion, CP said the auspicious occasion would be the harbinger of prosperity, peace and strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and amity which are the hall marks of Hyderabad’s glorious pluralistic traditions,it’s Ganga Jamuna tehzeeb 

“Throughout the month of Ramadan, the state Govt and city police has made tremendous efforts to ensure facilitation of Muslim brethren.” he said
