On the second day of his district visit, Telangana DGP Sri C.V. Anand interacted with the family members of 28 police martyrs of the Warangal Commissionerate who laid down their lives in the line of duty while fighting Naxalism. He launched TG-VEER, a dedicated grievance portal that provides the families with a single platform to track benefits, service records and pending entitlements, along with QR-enabled family cards for quick access to information.
The DGP directed officials to consolidate the grievances raised by the families and assured them of prompt action on issues relating to ex-gratia, pensions and other welfare benefits. Having begun his career in Warangal during the peak of the insurgency, he said he remained deeply conscious that the peace enjoyed today rests on the sacrifices of those who served before them.
Sri C.V. Anand also inspected the under-construction Commissioner of Police office and directed officials to incorporate measures that would improve citizen access, operational efficiency and surveillance readiness.
