DGP C.V. Anand Interacts with Former Maoists

 Telangana DGP Sri C.V. Anand interacted with former Maoists and heard their representations and grievances relating to housing, legal assistance, employment opportunities and financial support. He assured them that their concerns would be taken up with the government and that all possible support would be extended to help them rebuild their lives.

The DGP said the Police and Government were ready to facilitate skill development and provide the necessary support to help them secure employment and lead stable lives. He urged them to stay away from suspicious or unlawful activities and make a complete transition into mainstream society. Health cards were also distributed to them on the occasion.

As part of the State Government’s surrender and rehabilitation policy, DGP C.V. Anand also distributed cheques towards reward money to recently surrendered Maoist cadres.
