Today, Sri C.V. Anand IPS, DG and Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, conducted a surprise inspection of key Ganesh pandals in Borabanda, Rehmat Nagar, and Banjara Hills , Jubilee Hills within the West Zone. He interacted with the pandal organizers and volunteers, reviewed the security arrangements, and provided necessary instructions.
The event was attended by officials including Sri S.M. Vijay Kumar IPS (DCP, West Zone), and other officers.

1.Sri C.V. Anand IPS, DG and Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, held a review meeting at the South West Zone DCP Office in Mehdipatnam. He met with law and order, traffic, and other police officers of the South West Zone to review arrangements for the Ganesh immersion. During the meeting, Commissioner Anand stated that devotees should not face any inconvenience. He called for strict vigilance to be maintained to prevent crimes by anti-social elements, as well as incidents of pickpocketing, eve-teasing, and chain snatching. He suggested that, as a precaution, organizers and volunteers should be present near the idols at night. The precautions to be taken during the immersion of Ganesh idols were also discussed. An action plan for the swift immersion of the idols was reviewed, and officials were instructed to tell the Mandap Organisers to begin the immersion process as soon as possible and ensure devotees return home safely.
2. Sri C.V. Anand IPS, DG and Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, also inspected important Ganesh mandapas in Goshamahal, Tappa Chabutra, Langar House, and Golkonda in the South West Zone. He spoke with the mandapa organisers and volunteers. He advised them that since it is raining, all mandapa organisers should take proper precautions to avoid accidents. He asked all devotees and the public to cooperate with the police to ensure the Ganesh festival is held in a peaceful atmosphere.
3. Sri C.V. Anand IPS, the DG and Commissioner of Police for Hyderabad, inaugurated a new cricket practice facility at the Kulsumpura Police Quarters. The facility, which includes a pitch and net, was established to promote sports development and overall welfare among police personnel.A known cricket enthusiast, C.V. Anand formally opened the facility by playing a friendly game of cricket. His active participation highlights his commitment to encouraging physical fitness and teamwork within the police force.
4. An outpost was inaugurated at Ganga Bowli, which falls under the Tappachabutra Police Station limits.
The review meeting and other activities were attended by Sri G. Chandra Mohan IPS (DCP, South West Zone), Smt. K. Apoorva Rao IPS (DCP, SB), Shri R. Venkateswarlu IPS (DCP, Traffic), Shri M.A. Bari (DCP), Shri Iqbal Siddiqui (Additional DCP, Task Force), and officers from all police stations in the South West Zone
