VC held with all officers ahead of final day of ganesh idols immersion

 Today, for the Ganesh idol immersion and Milad-un-Nabi festival celebrations, Shri C.V. Anand IPS, DG and Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, along with Additional CP Law and Order Sri Vikram Singh Mann IPS, Additional CP Crime Sri P. Vishwaprasad IPS, Joint CP Traffic Shri D. Joel Davis IPS,  DCP Special Branch Smt. K. Apoorva Rao IPS, DCP IT Cell Smt. Pushpa , and other officers including and and other Zonal DCPs, held a video conference to review security and contingency plans.

Speaking at the conference, Sri. C.V. Anand said that plans have been made to ensure that the celebrations on the night of the 4th of September (Milad-un-Nabi) and the movement of Ganesh idols do not face any problems. He noted that since the Prophet Muhammad's birthday falls on the 5th (Friday), last-minute arrangements for immersion will be made. The main Ganesh immersion will be held on the 6th, with special arrangements planned for the movement and immersion of the Khairatabad Ganesh idol. Since the Union Minister is attending a rally at MJ Market, security will be increased accordingly. He added that the immersion process is expected to last about 40 hours, and all necessary precautions are being taken.

Blue Colts and patrol teams have been ordered to increase their surveillance throughout Hyderabad. During the immersion procession, traffic management will be strengthened at major intersections like Basheer Bagh and MJ Market.

The police have asked the mandapa organizers to immerse their idols without delay and have instructed officers to provide all necessary logistical support to them. They were also told to provide additional VHF sets to prevent any communication gaps among the police.

Officers were also instructed to put up banners with height information at every intersection and bridge along the procession route and to collect information about the drivers of every vehicle participating in the procession.

Police officials were told to coordinate with GHMC officials to ensure there are no obstacles on the procession route. They were also instructed to ensure that welcome stages do not completely occupy the road and obstruct the procession. Finally, they were told to ensure that idols do not get stuck due to cables or tree branches along the route. And other Zonal DCPs were participated virtually in this video conference.
