In view of the Sri Ramanavami Shobha Yatra to be held on April 6, 2025, Sri C. V. Anand IPS, DG Commissioner of Police Hyderabad, held a video conference with Hyderabad Police officers. He explained the history of the procession and the various incidents over the years during the Shobha Yatra, discussed security arrangements in detail and gave specific instructions in light of the route inspection down yesterday along with the Sri Ramanavami Utsav committees and other department officers .He suggested that special surveillance be set up at the intersection where the main procession and smaller processions connect. It was also suggested that special additional forces be deployed in problematic areas around religious places and that continuous surveillance be maintained. As a precautionary measure, all officers and staff, all Zonal Control Room officers, and Special Branch officers in the city should be alert from now on. Special attention must also be paid to pickpockets and chain snatchers. Sri Vikram Singh Mann IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police Law and Order, Sri S.Chaitanya Kumar DCP, Special Branch, Smt. Pushpa DCP, IT Cell, and Zonal DCPs, Inspectors, ACPs, and other officers participated in this program virtually.
