Sri C V Anand IPS, Director General and Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, today held a video conference with Hyderabad Police officials to review the security arrangements for the upcoming Sri Veera Hanuman Vijaya Yatra, scheduled for April 12, 2025.
During the conference, the Director General and Commissioner of Police discussed incidents that occurred during the previous Sri Veera Hanuman Vijaya Yatra and meticulously reviewed the proposed security measures. He subsequently issued the following directives to ensure the peaceful and orderly conduct of the procession:
1. Enhanced Surveillance: Special surveillance measures should be established at all intersections where smaller processions are expected to converge with the main route.
2. Strategic Deployment: Additional special forces are to be deployed in sensitive areas, particularly those in the vicinity of religious places. Continuous and stringent surveillance must be maintained in these locations.
3. Route Inspection and Rectification: All concerned Station House Officers (SHOs) are instructed to personally inspect the designated route of the Sri Veera Hanuman Vijaya Yatra, which includes Sri Ram Mandir (Gauli Guda), and Bible House leading to Tad Bund Hanuman Temple. They are to identify any potential issues or obstructions and promptly inform the concerned authorities for necessary rectification.
4. DJ System Advisory: The organizers are to be explicitly informed that refraining from the use of DJ systems during the procession would be significantly beneficial for the health and well-being of the general public and the devotees participating in the Vijaya Yatra.
5. Prohibited Activities: The bursting of firecrackers, throwing them at pedestrians, and the throwing of gulal (colored powder) on general public are strictly prohibited during the procession.
6. Post-Yatra Restraint: In light of past experiences, all participants are urged to exercise utmost restraint during the return journey following the conclusion of the Vijaya Yatra.
7. Restrictions on Display and Vehicles: The display of any provocative banners is prohibited. Organizers must ensure the use of a limited number of vehicles in the procession and take all necessary measures to prevent any disturbance by individuals from other communities.
8. Drone Camera Usage: The police department will inform the organizers that the operation of drone cameras for any purpose during the Sri Veera Hanuman Vijaya Yatra is strictly prohibited without obtaining prior, explicit permission from the relevant authorities.
9. Social Media Responsibility: The public is strongly advised not to believe or propagate rumors circulating on social media platforms. Spreading provocative posts and fake messages is strictly discouraged and may attract legal action.
10. Prevention of Petty Crimes: Specific emphasis has been placed on preventing any instances of pickpocketing and chain snatching during the Sri Veera Hanuman Vijaya Yatra.
