Telangana Police Hosts Farewell for Outgoing Chief Secretary, Welcomes Successor

The Telangana Police upheld its long-standing tradition of bidding farewell to the outgoing Chief Secretary, Mr. K. Ramakrishna Rao, and welcoming the incoming Chief Secretary, Mr. Sanjay Jaju, by hosting a farewell dinner. The event also marked the retirement of Smt. Suvarna, former Head of the Forest Department, who retired on June 30. The gathering was notable for a rare coincidence, as three officers from the 1991 batch had simultaneously headed their respective departments.

Speaking on the occasion, the DGP recalled his long professional association with Mr. Ramakrishna Rao and the close coordination they shared over the years. He reflected on their journey together in public service and noted that Mr. Ramakrishna Rao's tenure was marked by significant contributions to governance, institutional strengthening and public administration, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, excellence and dedicated service. He wished Mr. Ramakrishna Rao and his family a happy, healthy and fulfilling retired life.

The DGP also conveyed his best wishes to Smt. Suvarna on her retirement, appreciating her distinguished service, and extended his congratulations to Mr. Sanjay Jaju, wishing him success in his new role as Chief Secretary.

Several senior officers shared their memories and experiences of working with the outgoing officers and spoke warmly about their association with the Telangana Police. The evening concluded on a cordial note, marked by camaraderie, fond recollections and goodwill.
