Rajabahadur Venkat Ramreddy remembered on his Jayanthi

 Today, the Raja Bahadur Venkatram Reddy Educational Society organized the 156th birth anniversary celebrations of Raja Bahadur Venkatram Reddy at the YMCA X-Road, Narayanaguda, Hyderabad. The chief guest for the event was Sri C.V. Anand, IPS, DG, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, who paid floral tributes by garlanding the statue of the late Raja Bahadur Venkatram Reddy.

Speaking on the occasion, Sri C.V. Anand praised the remarkable services of Raja Bahadur Venkatram Reddy, who served as the 14th Kotwal during the Nizam era. "He started his services as a Subedar (SI) in 1891 and worked with honesty and sincerity and even the Nizam recognised him and appointed him as the CP (Kotwal)in 1920.during his 14 years of service, he worked tirelessly to eradicate many social evils prevalent at the time,women education empowerment , widow remarriage etc . He handled both civilian and policing duties very well .He also established several educational institutions which helped people like his own father and wife who studied in them , said the CP Hyderabad. Sri C.V. Anand also commended the Raja Bahadur Venkatram Reddy Educational Society for its service to the community.

On this occasion, Sri C.V. Anand, on behalf of the Raja Bahadur Venkatram Reddy Educational Society, honored several officers for their outstanding performance. They were presented with a gold medal and ₹5,000 in cash. The honorees were:

Sri K. Satish Reddy, Inspector, Cyber Crime, Hyderabad

Sri S. Suresh, SI, Cyber Crime, Hyderabad

Sri S. Venkateswarlu, DI, Shadnagar, from Cyberabad Police Commissionerate

The event was attended by Sri B. Balaswamy, IPS, DCP East Zone, along with Sri Teegala Mohan Reddy, Secretary; Sri M.V. Ranga Reddy, President; Smt. A. Sukanya Reddy, Vice President; Sri Vasudeva Reddy, Joint Secretary; and Sri G. Krishna Reddy, Treasurer of the Raja Bahadur Educational Society. Other city police officers and society members were also present.
