City Police hosts Iftar party

 Hyderabad City Police organized a ‘Daawat-e-Iftar’ at Chow Mohalla Palace to celebrate the Holy festival of Ramadan. Apart from senior officers and politicians, around 1500 fasting devotees from various Muslim families participated in the Iftar feast.  Iftar is the meal taken after sunset to break the daily fast during the Holy month of Ramzan, which is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. Iftar is held at sunset after the Maghrib prayer.

On this occasion, Sri Ponnam Prabhakar, the Hon’ble Minister of Transport and BC Welfare Telangana attended the program as the chief guests and Telangana DGP Sri Jitender IPS, Sri CV Anand IPS DG CP Hyderabad together with other guests broke the fast after delivering the welcome speech.

Sri Ponnam Prabhakar, Hon’ble Minister of Transport and BC Welfare Telangana & Hyderabad extended Ramzan greetings to all the Muslim brothers and sisters, saying that Hyderabad is a symbol of religious harmony . In Hyderabad all festivals are celebrated together happily, and all arrangements have been made on behalf of the government to celebrate Ramzan. I am very happy to be the Minister in-charge of Hyderabad. The invitation to this Iftar, which is being held at Chowmahalla Palace in this old city, is very special.

  Sri. C.V. Anand IPS DG CP Hyderabad, addressed to the people that  "I thank you for accepting my invitation and coming to this Iftar feast." "This evening we are gathered together to honour a sacred tradition and celebrate the message of peace and love. Let us strive to prioritize harmony and goodwill," he said.
