Amid tight police security the Jamat Ul Vida prayers, held on the last Friday of pious Ramadan month concluded peacefully across the city. Elaborate police deployment has been made at mosques and prayer grounds. “Jamat Ul Vida” has a special significance since it is a prelude to the departure of holy month of Ramadan.
The congregational prayers held at the historic Mecca Masjid, Charminar were closely supervised by City Police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand. Accompained by his deputies of L&O, traffic, he inspected the security arrangements & the pedestrian movement in the vicinity . As thousands of Muslims rejoiced in the prayers, the police maintained high vigil on all the routes to ensure their safety.
Interacting with the media, the top brass recited the month long bandobust measures taken up by the city police at all places of worship, shopping areas etc., Highlighting the prominence of the month he said that its a time of generosity and its a must to include to the poor in the joyous occasion.
The peaceful conclusion of multi-religious festivals and processions reinforce the city's commitment to mutual harmony and radiate the message of Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb.
" Let us practice the imbibed sense throught out the year. May the Almighty accept the ibadah rendered during Ramadan and protect everyone." he said.
To enhance the security measures, Rapid Action Force and quick response teams were also deployed alongside the usual city police personnel. Additionally, roof-top teams were stationed to keep a watchful eye during the prayers.
The Command Control Center's IT team kept a close watch on the high-resolution CCTV camera feeds to maintain the security of the event. Furthermore, intensified patrolling was carried out to ensure that there were no mishaps or disruptions to public order on the streets.
