Eid prayers concluded peacefully

 Marking the culmination of holy month of Ramadan, Eid- Ul-Fitr was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety across the city under the security cover of Hyderabad City Police . City police made elaborate security arrangements at Mosques, open grounds and crowded areas. Traffic restrictions were imposed to avoid traffic congestion for the devout and the  curbs were lifted soon after the prayers.

While reviewing security arrangements, city police commissioner Mr. CV Anand is seen celebrating  Eid with children at Eidgah near Miralam, and interacted  with the Muslim brethren. Along with officers stationed , he conveyed wishes and distributed sweets. 

Speaking on the occasion, CP said this a momentous and happy occasion. “We are grateful for all the support extended by Muslim & Hindu community throughout the month.   This is the  harbinger of prosperity, peace and strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and amity which are the hall marks of Hyderabad’s glorious pluralistic traditions.” he said.
