Dawat-e-Iftar hosted by Kotwal at Chowmahalla palace

 Today evening the Hyderabad City Police welcomed a diverse group of  government, civil society, religious leaders  to its annual Interfaith Iftar held at Chowmahalla palace– an annual tradition marking the holy month of Ramadan.

Before the call to prayer marking the end of the daily Ramadan fast, City Police Chief Mr.CV Anand  greeted guests and highlighted the prominence of the holy month  which calls to come together to give charitably to the poor.

"It is a time of generosity, reverence, and spiritual introspection." he said.He recited  the bandobsut measures  at Mosques, shopping areas during the month of Ramadan and  commended the support and cooperation of the community to city police.

Citing a recent report on the prowess of Telanagana in rapidly progressing  in several spheres, steep rise in Per Capita Income , he lauded the foresight of State Government and said that it embraces all faiths equally.

Hon’ble Home minister, Shri Mohammed Mahmood Ali , DGP Shri Anjani Kumar  and Hyderabad CP Shri CV Anand broke the fast along with guests and everyone present on the occasion. Apart from senior bureacrauts, politicians,city police officers  2000 people from diverse faiths and backgrounds were part of the iftar reception.
