HCP hosted Round Table Discussion

 Hyderabad City Police successfully conducted the Round Table Discussion on DJs and Firecrackers in Religious Processions. It was a difficult meeting to organise with representatives of all political parties -Congress , BJP, BRS, MIM , MBT, CPI , CPM, MRPS, TDP, and representatives of all organisations like Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Committee, Khairatabad Ganesh, Balapur Ganesh , Milad Juloos Committee, Sikh Gurudwara Committee, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, Sriram Navami utsav committee, Shivaji Utsav committee, all having been invited and all attended. MLAs Danam Nagender , Raja Singh , Moazam khan , ex MLAs Chintala Ramchandra Reddy , Pasha Qadri also attended and spoke.

CP Anand started the meeting with a presentation on the difficulties public is facing due to the use of DJ s and the 500% increase in complaints , showed them the video shots of the recent festivals where the loud decibel levels were demonstrated and the type of damage it’s doing was shown. He also explained the legal position wherein the CP #Hyderabad City is duty bound to take action on sound pollution and fire crackers. The voice recordings of various organisation leaders asking for ban on DJ s were played and the opinion of Doctors on the health of people was explained.

In all about 25 leaders and organisation heads spoke and almost all were in agreement that the time has come for decisive action on DJ nuisance as it is going out of control and also violates the basic practices of any religion. Some speakers expressed that some alternate employment to the DJ suppliers needs to be thought about , that a way to lock the sound levels of DJ s to the legal limits should be discovered while a few expressed the opinion that not on religious but DJ s and fire crackers should be banned even in function halls and political rallies.

Many expressed that Narcotics like Ganja is directly linked to this DJ culture and long periods of dancing abilities. Some said that education of the youth and police station wise meetings with them should be conducted. But , overall they agreed that police and Government should be supported to control this menace and promised to extend their support in every manner possible.

CP reviews H-NEW & Taskforce work turnout

 In a comprehensive review of the Taskforce and H-NEW teams, the City Police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand instructed for a full-scale crack down on  organised crime networks, including gambling, prostitution, cricket betting, and satta etc.,  He also instructed intensified action against gangs involved in fake goods and adulterated food products. He had a threadbare review on  zone-specific crime, gang rivalries, police man power and NDPS cases etc., 



Good Samaritan felicitated

City Police Commissioner Mr. CV Anand felicitated a good Samaritan Mr.Rizwan, a resident of Charminar,   for his quick response & timely intervention in preventing clash between the two communities during the Milad  procession. Despite a scuffle between the processionists &locals of the other community, Mr.Riyaz pacified it quickly with his proactive action and averted escalation of tension.

Meet hold on traffic control during rain

 On the instructions of Hon’ble Chief Minister, City Police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand along with MAUD Principal Secretary Mr.Dana Kishore held a high level meeting with GHMC, Hydra, Rachakonda & Cyberabad Police officials etc., to enhance coordination & deploy quick response on roads & critical junctions during incessant, flash & heavy rains for better traffic management and public safety. 

The meeting emphasized on proactive,  concerted response by all the stakeholders and deliberated on the immediate measures required at critical junctions which include proper diversions, transmitting  weather forecast notifications & traffic advisories more quickly , signages, engineering changes required to prevent water logging & improve flow etc., 

All the participants shared their observations, the measures being implemented in their jurisdictions, and departments, and also elucidated the immediate & long term plans to decongest traffic. 

The meeting also decided on conducting a joint workshop,  forming a high level committee comprising traffic commissioner of Tri-Police Commissionerates, GHMC and other departments, liaising with IT companies  ,monitoring & maintaining water levels in major water bodies, leveraging technology, common communication platform for all departments , and other aspects were discussed during this meeting. 

Ms. Amrapali,GHMC Commissioner; Mr.Vikram Singh Mann, Addl.CP (L&O); Mr. Sudir Babu, CP – Rachakonda, Mr. Avinash Mohanty, CP- Cyberabad, Traffic chiefs of Tri-Police Comissionerates, GHMC Zonal Commissioner and other officials attended this meeting held at TGCCC.

Milad Procession Concluded peacefully

 "Both the festivals with huge processions ended peacefully, reflecting in the end the composite culture of Hyderabad city , the communal harmony which finally shows in the accommodation of each others aggression of using DJ s.

I sincerely thank the people of Hyderabad for their cooperation with the police and other departments in the last 15 days in maintaining peace . The entire City police force and officers are tired out and need some rest 🙏🏻😊 " said CP Anand.
