Meet hold on traffic control during rain

 On the instructions of Hon’ble Chief Minister, City Police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand along with MAUD Principal Secretary Mr.Dana Kishore held a high level meeting with GHMC, Hydra, Rachakonda & Cyberabad Police officials etc., to enhance coordination & deploy quick response on roads & critical junctions during incessant, flash & heavy rains for better traffic management and public safety. 

The meeting emphasized on proactive,  concerted response by all the stakeholders and deliberated on the immediate measures required at critical junctions which include proper diversions, transmitting  weather forecast notifications & traffic advisories more quickly , signages, engineering changes required to prevent water logging & improve flow etc., 

All the participants shared their observations, the measures being implemented in their jurisdictions, and departments, and also elucidated the immediate & long term plans to decongest traffic. 

The meeting also decided on conducting a joint workshop,  forming a high level committee comprising traffic commissioner of Tri-Police Commissionerates, GHMC and other departments, liaising with IT companies  ,monitoring & maintaining water levels in major water bodies, leveraging technology, common communication platform for all departments , and other aspects were discussed during this meeting. 

Ms. Amrapali,GHMC Commissioner; Mr.Vikram Singh Mann, Addl.CP (L&O); Mr. Sudir Babu, CP – Rachakonda, Mr. Avinash Mohanty, CP- Cyberabad, Traffic chiefs of Tri-Police Comissionerates, GHMC Zonal Commissioner and other officials attended this meeting held at TGCCC. 

Milad Procession Concluded peacefully

 "Both the festivals with huge processions ended peacefully, reflecting in the end the composite culture of Hyderabad city , the communal harmony which finally shows in the accommodation of each others aggression of using DJ s.

I sincerely thank the people of Hyderabad for their cooperation with the police and other departments in the last 15 days in maintaining peace . The entire City police force and officers are tired out and need some rest  " said CP Anand.

 Took a walk from MJ market Junction to Tank bund to speed up the procession pace by giving appropriate directions . By 5 am , the situation was so much better than last year as the tail end had reached MJ market jn and a few hundred vehicles on the other approach roads , hope to keep the important junctions clear for general traffic by 8 am today !

The entire 25K force of HCP and other units worked continuously in two shifts ( except officers of city police ) throughout the night to expedite the immersion of thousands of idols.

By 5 am , the situation was so much better than last year as the tail end had reached MJ market jn and a few hundred vehicles on the other approach roads , hope to keep the roads clear for general traffic by 8 am today!

Finally , the curtains fall on this Test Match played over 11 days and the last day’ s play extending beyond 40 hours ! People of South Zone really cooperated and moved their idols early with the result that SZ idols crossed Naya Pul by 10:30 pm . By 6 am important traffic junctions were opened for general traffic and by 10 am the last junctions , Ambedkar and Telugu Talli Secretariat junctions were also opened up . The 1000 idols on trucks were stacked up on necklace road and over the next 5-6 hours the immersion will be done , without any hindrance to normal traffic and life .

I extend my thanks to GHMC and all other government departments for the excellent coordination over the last 11 days . I wished all my officers for working so tirelessly and with such motivation.

DJ s have become a nuisance in all bandobusts and we r wondering how to rein them in. Will let you know soon .

 Hon'ble CM Visited NTR Marg

Hon’ble CM visited the NTR marg for a personal feel of the immersion ceremony, it’s process, talked to the crane operators and GHMC workers and the facilities provided by government agencies for idol immersion and the general public.

Police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand briefed him on the technical aspects of immersion , the time taken , and the effort by police to move idols from all over the city earlier than previous years.

Second time in a row the 70 feet Khairtabad #Ganesh got immersed by 1:30 pm on immersion day. Despite it involving a challenging procedure of moving the idol to the immersion point, dewelding and welding etc., our central zone police teams and the Utsav committee members toiled and succeeded in completing the immersion.Congratulations to all of them

Went for an aerial survey with Minister , mayor, Dgp , Ghmc commissioner ,collector to assess the movement of the immersion procession . Found that it was much better than last year and the south zone mandapam organisers have responded to our request and efforts for early departure .

All this has a cascading effect tomorrow if it gets delayed.

Hon'ble CM visits war room in TGCCC

 H’ble CM Revanth Reddy garu visited the war room of the iCCC in Banjara Hills today to review the bandobust for Ganesh and check on how the entire event is monitored through CCTV s, Drones , wireless communication etc. Made some useful suggestions for improvement which we shall implement.
