The City police has taken a slew of measures to ensure Milad-Un-Nabi procession passes off peacefully. After the successful completion of the Dussehra - Durga mata festival and the immersions, In view of the festival to be observed tomorrow and the related processions to be started tonight , City Police Commissioner Mr.CV Anand held a co-ordination meeting with all the important muslim clerics, senior police officers at his camp office in Purani Haveli and took their opinions on the security & traffic and other arrangements.
Addressing the community members, CP Anand assured that city police has been making all arrangements and sought the cooperation of the community members. He urged the clerics and elders to persuade the youngsters to commute safely and observe rules during the processions and appealed them to maintain communal amity to uphold the Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb of the historic city.
In a direct warning to the trouble makers, City police said that misuse of social media platforms to instigate or hurt the sentiments of others will invite strict action.The organisers will be held responsible if anything goes wrong .
The community members applauded the arrangements being done by the state government and the city police .The public representatives and other Muslim Clergy spoke on the occasion.
