Jammu & Kashmir Minister for Civil Supplies, visited the Command Control Centre in Civil Supplies Bhavan and said a similar centre would be established in his home State to control the diversion of PDS Stocks. The Minister was in the city on a one-day visit.
The Minister observed the movement of trucks fitted with GPS devises transporting PDS stocks on live feed. He also saw the CCTVs installed at a godown in Hyderabad on experimental basis. He appreciated the installation of GPS devices in transport vehicles and the installation of CCTVs in godowns.
The Minister said the Telangana State Civil Supplies Department stands as a role model for other States in establishing Command Control Centre.
The same system will be implemented in Jammu & Kashmir as early as possible. C V Anand, Commissioner (CS) said diversion of PDS stocks was stooped to a great extent after establishment of Command Control Centre and CCTVs will soon be installed in all the other godowns of the State.
Commissioner had also explained the instances on how Command Control Centre detected diversion of PDS rice through two-wheelers with the help of CCTVs.
