The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) has been revamped by Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand in view of the security awareness regarding terror, cyber crimes and women’s safety. He took over as the new chief of the Council. The move was meant to take the eight year old organisation to the next level, bringing all the stakeholders on board for better results .
The representatives of HYSEA (Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association) and NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Services Companies) have been brought in as office-bearers in the SCSC, by Anand, in consultation with executive committee members and IT industry leaders.
The SCSC has been allotted an office space inside Cyberabad commissionerate and three paid employees, including an assistant director, have been appointed. Four sub-committees, namely Women’s Forum, Traffic Forum, Security Forum and Membership Forum have also been formed. The revamp of the organisation is done to aptly represent various organisations like HYSEA (Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association), NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Services Companies) and other IT associations.
“Re-organisation was done in order to increase the total level of activities. We will soon be spreading to other IT areas like Uppal, Pocharam and Adibatla. We expect more activity in future in these areas,” Mr. Anand explained. Considering that one lakh women employees were working in different companies in the IT corridor, their security forms an important subject and all steps will be taken to safeguard them. Apart from ‘SHE’ teams, security personnel and cab drivers are also being sensitised on safety issues, he added.
