Meeting with MHA officials

 A meeting was held with the team of officials from MHA Ministry of Home Affairs led by Jt secretary Pausumi Basu,IAS with the Home department related HODs , to review the progress of implementation of various facets of the new criminal laws BNS, BNSS, BNA brought in place of the IPC ,CrPC ,IEA.

The new criminal procedure code involves the use of far more forensics , forensic officers at the crimes scenes , videography and photography, many more facilities in the prisons, videoconferencing of trials for both the FSL officers from their offices and the prisoners from their jail rooms (part of e.sakshya ),upto date equipment and tools for cyber crime control and also narcotics control , prosecution officers and their facilities , updating more frequently all crime investigation documents onto CCTNS 2.0 .

The request made was for more liberal funding by the central #government of the various schemes to help the state governments implement these #reforms quicker and better.
