The Hyderabad City Police, under the Drug Disposal Committee chaired by CCS DCP N. Swetha, destroyed contraband drugs worth ₹7.48 crore on Thursday. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand.
The destroyed substances include 2,140.395 kg of ganja, 12,669 ml of hash oil, 540 alprazolam tablets, 19.34 grams of cocaine, four LSD blots, 177.75 grams of MDMA, and 70 grams of opium. The contraband, related to 208 NDPS cases registered between 2019 and 2024 across 36 police stations in Hyderabad, was disposed of through G.J. Multiclave (India) Pvt. Ltd., a biomedical waste management facility in Ranga Reddy district. Previously, drugs worth ₹3.08 crore linked to 118 cases were destroyed on June 19, 2024.
