CP Unveils STREE Summit poster

Hyderabad, India - [Date of Release] - The Hyderabad City Security Council (HCSC) is thrilled to announce the upcoming STREE Summit 2023, a flagship event focused on empowering women in safety and security. The summit will take place on 12th July 2023 at Auditorium –Integrated Command & Control Centre, Banjara Hills Road number 12, bringing together influential leaders, experts, and advocates to foster dialogue and drive positive change in creating safer environments for women and an ecosystem that helps foster growth.

STREE – She Triumphs with Respect, Equality and Empowerment – is a program with an objective to work with women and children in communities to create safe and secure life.

STREE Summit, an initiative of HCSC, aims to address the unique safety challenges faced by women in our society and highlight the importance of gender equality in safety and security. Through insightful discussions, interactive sessions, and collaborative workshops, the summit will explore innovative strategies, share best practices, and promote inclusive approaches that empower women to lead secure lives.

Chairperson of HCSC and Commissioner of Police, Shri. C.V Anand IPS, expressed his enthusiasm for the STREE Summit, stating, "Ensuring the safety and security of women is not just a responsibility but a moral obligation. The STREE Summit serves as a crucial platform for us to come together, learn from each other's experiences, and develop effective solutions to address the safety concerns faced by women in our society. I invite everyone to join us at this inspiring event and be a part of this transformative journey."

Shri. Chaitanya Gorrepati, Secretary General of HCSC, added, "STREE Summit is a testament to our commitment to gender equality and safety. By bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders, including policymakers, law enforcement agencies, community leaders, and women empowerment organizations, we aim to foster collaborations that will lead to tangible actions and sustainable change. We believe that empowering women is the key to creating a safer and more secure future."

Smt. Geeta Goti, Joint Secretary – Women Forum of HCSC, informed that  “The Annual  STREE Summit 2023 will feature engaging panel discussions, keynote presentations by eminent speakers, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration. Attendees will gain valuable insights, practical strategies, and actionable takeaways to implement in their respective fields”.

She added that HCSC has commissioned a Research Study “Family environment, Social media usage and Well- being of Adolescent Girls: An analysis from Psycho- Semantic Perspective” in collaboration with Osmania University Dept. of Psychology and will be released by Honourable Home Minister.

Posters on POSH & POCSO Acts will be released from the best entries of competitions that was announced and received a very good responses from school, colleges and organizations in and around Hyderabad.

Inauguration ceremony is graced by Hon’ble Home Minister Sri Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Smt. Satyavati Rathod, Hon’ble Minister of Women and Child Welfare Telangana and Smt. Shanti Kumari, Chief Secretary Telangana.

Key note address includes eminent members of society:

1)      Dr D.Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman of Asian Institute of Gastroenterology and AIG Hospitals

2)      Ms.Raageshwari Loomba Swaroop an actor, singer, former MTV VJ and a motivational speaker on the power of Wellness and Mindfulness. She is currently voted as one amongst the top 50 Mental Health Influencers in India.

3)       Ms. Faria Abdullah, Tollywood Star to speak on her experiences on being in the industry

Three Panel discussions on relevant topics with eminent panellists from Hyderabad including Academicians, NGOs working with Women and Children, Entrepreneurs and Established Business Women are arranged discussion on the following topics:

1)      Building bridges: empowering adolescents for a brighter tomorrow

2)      Inner resilience: Navigating the complexities of Women’s Mental health

3)      Shattering Glass ceilings: Fostering women’s leadership, entrepreneurial spirit.
