Mr C.V. Anand, the commissioner of the civil supplies department, received two pieces of good news on Monday.He was selected by the Centre as a recipient of the coveted President's Police Medal for distinguished service, and by the state government as a recipient of the TS Excellence Award for improving the efficiency of the public distribution system.
