The Cyberabad police have arrested three members of an inter-state Irani gang involved in chain-snatching offences and recovered 97.5-tola stolen gold from their possession."The culprits come to the city in trains with two-wheelers. After committing a series of snatching offences, they park the vehicles at parking lots of various railway stations in Hyderabad and leave by train. They return after a few weeks and again commit offences on the same two-wheelers, which they left in the parking lots," Cyberabad commissioner CV Anand said. Cyberabad Police Commissioner appreciated the crime team of L.B.Nagar Division and rewarded them.
To put an end to chain- snatching menace, Cyberabad police commissioner C.V. Anand has formed 55 armed anti-snatching teams and authorised use of lethal force in case the snatchers resort to violence when confronted by police.
