In the drive towards people-friendly policing and involving community to bring a ‘Safe & Smart City’, Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand started recognizing efforts of Good Samaritan public and citizens who helped police to catch criminals, maintain peace and order, or give vital information. This scheme was introduced by him in 2013.
As part of the initiative, nine people selected for their commendable acts were awarded by C.V.Anand at the Commissionerate Headquarters. The award carries a certificate and a cash reward of Rs.1,000.
Bejagam Keshavulu, Abdul Saleem received awards from the commissioner. There was a law & Order problem in Sy.No.64/1 at Nehru Nagar, Chandanagar regarding the construction of Sai Baba Temple near Masjid. In this issue there was a tense situation between both Hindu &Muslim Community people. They have responded spontaneously and suppressed the situation. Earlier, in the year 1987, a curfew had been ordered over this issue.
