Today, Hyderabad City Police organized Run for Action-2025 with (5000) five thousand people near Necklace Road People's Plaza on the occasion of International Women's Day.
Smt. Dr. Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, Hon’ble Minister for Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, Women and Child Welfare, Sri. CV Anand IPS DG Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, along with the Chief Guest, flagged off the program and started the 5K and 2K run.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that it was a great pleasure to be invited to Run for Action-2025. She applauded the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner for organizing this run, to give women self-confidence on the occasion of International Women's Day. And wishing everyone a happy Women's Day, he asked everyone to be mentally and physically empowered. Women were once looked down upon in society, and after the United Nations announced the proposal to give equal pay for equal work, International Women's Day is being celebrated in all countries of the world. The main purpose of Women's Day is that there is no difference between women and men, everyone is equal. She appreciated the Hyderabad City Police for their good work on safety of women. people are coming to Hyderabad from across nations for jobs, employment and business, it is because of the efforts of the police department which provides the sense of safety and security in the community. In recent times, alcoholism has ruined our lives. It reduces our dignity; this society should be sensitized to get rid of drugs. Therefore, on the occasion of International Women's Day, we all pledge to stay away from intoxicants, drugs and drinks, he said. The police are also conducting many awareness programs on intoxicants. He said that women should work for the development of society and they ought to be respected.
Sri CV Anand, IPS DG, Commissioner of Police Hyderabad City said - I am very happy that you all have come here on the occasion of International Women's Day. The slogan for women's safety given by the International Women's Organization is Speed for Action and taking prompt action on women's safety. Out of 20 DCPs in the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate, 8 are women DCPs. He said that 30 percent of the 18 thousand police personnel in the Hyderabad Commissionerate are women. "On the occasion of Women's Day, 4 women inspectors have been appointed as Station House Officers for Law and Order and Traffic Police Stations," said Commissioner CV Anand. "Women are contributing significantly in all the prominent sectors of the country while taking care of their family responsibilities, so there is a need to recognize their importance today," he said. The winners of the 5k run and 2k run were awarded prizes by Sri CV Anand, IPS DG, Commissioner of Police Hyderabad City.
