2015: A year driven by Technology
Today Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand addressed media in his office and revealed the annual statistics of 2015. Mr.Anand explained various initiatives launched by Cyberabad Police to control and prevent crime.
"This year we have allowed technology to take precedence over the norm. Complex government procedures are simplified.We kept a tab on all social media platforms to make sure that they can take notice and tackle situations when they arise." said Mr.Anand

Though there was an eight per cent increase in crime rate in Cyberabad police limits, officers of the commissionerate managed to recover 79% of the stolen booty and topped in Telangana in terms of stolen property recovery. Special Operations Team (SOT) of the Cyberabad police bettered performance from the previous year.
With the number of ISIS sympathisers growing, the Cyberabad police are proactively trying to prevent them from being attracted by terror ideologies. The Crawl software developed by Oracle helps to monitor nearly 40 million websites and provides current trends and sentiment analysis, in addition to real time analysis.

Road accidents and deaths have increased. The commissioner said ongoing Metro works across the city was one of the major reasons for the increase in accidents. “Places where Metro works have been completed are left without any barricades or dividers. We wrote to the Metro Rail authorities to provide a solution and they are working on it,” the commissioner added.

Cyberabad police commissioner C.V.Anand said that their policy of “effective policing” had encouraged more people to come forward to lodge complaints, resulting in the increase of registered cases.

Good news to all the visitors who visits Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. Now you can stay connected to the internet by utilising Wi Fi hotspot. Today Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand launched free WiFi services in his office.
This would be very useful to the visitors and delegates as well who wish to access internet for various purposes.
WiFi range extenders are installed at various points within the office premises to provide seamless access to internet.

Cycling for a Cause
Car Free Thursday: C.V.Anand cycling to his office.
Supporting the ‘Car Free Thursdays’ cause, Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand along with 200 plus Industry leaders, volunteers and school students have cycled from Cyient Circle to (near Raheja Mindspace) Cyberabad Commissioner’s office where he has addressed the media.
Sharing his views on the campaign Anand said, “It is concerning to see the growing number of vehicles, which is leading to major traffic jams and pollution. If this continues, the situation will be out of control, as we do not have the mechanism to handle it. Therefore, campaigns like Car Free Thursday will be able to make people use public transportation and cycle to work."
The campaign has been driven by HYSEA & SCSC in association with TSIIC, RTC, Cyberabad Police.

Safety Kits for police vehicles
All the patrolling teams in the Cyberabad now have safety equipment that can be utilised at accident spots and crime scenes. The kit includes torch, plastic cones, lathis, stone guards, jackets, tape, helmets and dragon light.
Cyberabad Commissioner C.V.Anand handed over the articles to 138 patrol mobile vehicles and 190 blue colts’ teams at the Commissionerate headquarters on Saturday. “The police personnel will use the cones, chains or tape to cordon off the crime scene till the forensic teams arrive and take up their job. The riot gear will come in handy for patrolling personnel to take on unruly mobs,” he said.

Special Training Sessions Started in Cyberabad

Cyberabad Police are conducting a 5 day special training session to guide their personnel (PC to SIs) who are about to retire. This training programme will enable them to handle personal and professional things in an efficient manner. They will be briefed about Chronic Diseases, Nutrition, Financial Management(post retirement), personality development , stress management. During the 5 day training programme, we will also train our men in communication skills, effective & friendly policing , FRCC , patrolling system,4C cell, functioning of IT cell.
Working mechanism of other special wings of Cyberabad Police will be explained. Today Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand interacted with the trainees and explained the importance of skill enhancement, physical fitness and inner peace.
