All Set for CCTV Projects in Cyberabad
- Rs. 5 crore sanction from TSIIC especially for the IT corridor safety under the Abhaya 5 pronged security strategy.
- TS government sanction of Rs. 50 Crore (Rs. 25 Crore each in 2014-15 and 2015-16) for CCTVs.
- Police Station CCTV project.
- Community CCTV Project under the Public Safety Act.
"This is the first CCTV project to be taken up by the State government. Tender process was successfully completed. Telangana is the only State to have a Public Safety Act legislation, which makes it mandatory for the business establishments having a gathering of 100 or more people to set up CCTVs to cover entrances, exits and parking places. The police will conduct a survey in identified locality or area to assess the number of cameras needed.The cameras will be connected to the command and control centre which is being set up at the Commissioner’s office.” he said.
Mr. Anand has also managed to rope in Residential Welfare Associations and big firms for community CCTV projects to install 250 cameras in Balanagar, Sanathnagar and Jeedimetla police stations. It is proposed to expand the project across other places too.

Lake Police Stations opened at Osmansagar, Himayatsagar
To curb illegal activities at Himayatsagar and Osmansagar, Cyberabad police have set up two lake police stations near the water bodies on Sunday.Home minister, along with his cabinet colleagues and Telangana State Legislative Council chairman, inaugurated the lake police stations.
Each of these police stations, headed by an officer of sub-inspector rank, would have eight personnel, including an ASI and six constables. The two police stations were also provided with an Innova car each for patrolling.

be effective in curbing suicides, and illegal activities like encroachment of lake beds, water pollution, fishing, eve-teasing and racing. The Osmansagar (Gandipet) police station is located on the lake barrage, while the Himayatsagar PS is located close to the barrage. The Himayatsagar lake police station would work under the supervision of Rajendranagar SHO, while the Osmansagar police station would work under the supervision of Narsingi SHO.

After the inauguration, the cabinet ministers, along with police and HMWS&SB officials, carried out cleaning of the Gandipet lake inflow channel as part of 'Swachh Hyderabad' programme.
Speaking to media personnel at the event, Home Minister said that by actively participating in the Swachh Hyderabad campaign, police have sent a message across the country that in addition to lathis, they could also wield brooms, and become idols for cops across the nation.
Irrigation Minister said that by mingling with civilians during the Swachh Hyderabad programme, Telangana police have acquired a positive image. At the event, Commissioner Anand adopted Gandipet and Shamshabad DCP adopted Himayatsagar as part of 'Mission Kakatiya' and Swachh Hyderabad programmes.

Swachh Telangana: A regular Programme in Cyberabad Commissionerate
Cyberabad Police Police Commissioner C.V.Anand whole heartedly involved in Swachh Telangana programme and adopted Kondapur Area Hospital. He took part in the Cleaning Programme on 5th may 2015. As a part of the program 60 government hospitals/health care centers were identified in all zones of Cyberabad and he also instructed all officers and men from the rank of HG’s to DCP’s make the Hospitals/Health care Centers Clean & Green.

Accordingly, today C.V.Anand visited Kondapur Area hospital and took part in the cleaning programme. He expressed concern about scarcity of water in hospital and decided to escalate water problem to the notice of Chief Secretary, Water Board MD. Anand assured that he would try his best in improving facilities.
"This is not a one time act. Swacch Telangana will be a regular programme in Cyberabad Commissionerate." said C.V.Anand.

Smt C.V.Lalitha Anand, President Cyberabad Police Welfare association, inaugurated free health camp for Cyberabad Police organised by Citizen Hospital. "Every cop should take care of their health and priority should be given to family members health as well. This makes you to work efficiently at any point of time. Regular Exercise, Yoga will avoid health problems." said Lalitha Anand.
Cyberabad Police men and their families undergone various medical tests on the first day and they have received medicines. Senior vice president of Citizen hospital, Madhapur DCP, DCP(crimes), CTC Vice-principal and other officers participated in this Programme.

Lake Police Stations @ Osman Sagar, Himayat Sagar soon
With a view to prevent suicides,water pollution & encroachments in and around Osman Sagar, Himayat Sagar, Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand planned to start two lake police stations. He visited the sites for the proposed lake police stations. Mr.Anand conducted a review meeting with Water board officials to analyse the information of encroachments, water flow and other aspects related to the ponds.

Later he visited Khanapur village and observed the encroachments. He enquired the local Tahsildar about encroachments, Surveys conducted and details of FTL. He suggested Tahsildar to file a complaint with the details of the persons who encroached water bodies and ensured that the police would register cases on them and include the concerned Sarpanch in the case who have issued illegal permissions.C.V.Anand told that proposals were sent to the government to fence 100 kilometers area of the two ponds.

C.V.Anand participated in Swachh Hyderabad programme at Central University(Gachibowli). He took a pledge for pollution less environment and clean surroundings. Commissioner Anand, Central University Vice Chancellor, staff and other officers actively participated in campus cleaning.

Swachh Hyderabad:Day 3
Commissioner C.V.Anand focussed his attention on the ramps that encroached the main roads in the colony. Along with colony residents and other officers he guided the bulldozer operator to demolish few minor constructions, ramps that encroached the main roads in the colony. This made free passage to all types of vehicles in colony roads.

As a part of Swachh Hyderabad Programme, Government of Telangana assigned Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand as the in-charge officer for Telecomnagar(Gachibowli). Yesterday he visited the Colony and started interaction with the colony residents.
Today he started cleaning the colony along with residents and other police Officers. Mr.Anand explained the importance of cleanliness and quickly assessed the basic amenities required. Commissioner C.V.Anand lead all his men from the front and motivated colony residents to work together.All sections of people actively participated in this programme.

Commissioner detains Notorious Rowdy Sheeter Under PD Act
Mr.C.V.Anand.,IPS, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad in exercise of the powers conferred on him under Sub-Section (2) of Section 3 of the Telangana Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Boot Leggers, Dacoits, Drug Offenders, Goondas Immoral Traffic Offenders and Land Grabbers Act, 1986 r/w G.O. Rt. No.775 of General Administration (Law and order) Department, dt.10-03-2015, has issued Preventive Detention Orders to detain Mohd. Mukram @ Pappu @ Akram. He is a resident of Malkajgiri and he has been acting as a leader of the gang and habitually indulged in unlawful acts such as Robbery, Criminal Force with intent to outrage the modesty of woman, criminal trespass, criminal intimidation, Attempt to Murder, Criminal force to deter public servant from discharging duty, Extortion, Drugs, Rioting.
Further, his acts have been adversely effecting the maintenance of the public order and peace in the locality and none were coming forward to submit evidence against him. With a view to infuse confidence in the minds of the law abiding citizens and also to prevent the Rowdy Sheeter, from acting in any manner prejudicial to the maintenance of public order he is kept out of the society for a considerable period by detaining in the prison under PD Act.
Hence, Preventive Detention orders are invoked against him by C.V. Anand. He was arrested under these provisions and sent to Cherlapally Central Prison.

C.V.Anand invoked PD act against Chain Snatchers and Snake Gang
As a part of effective policing, Cyberabad Commissioner C.V.Anand issued orders for the detention of three chain snatchers Asgar Ali, Jagadeesh and Mahender Singh and Khadar Bharakba(member of snake gang), who were involved in serious crimes.
Details of the criminals detained under PD Act
- Jagadeesh is involved in 126 criminal cases. He is a member of Shiva Gang which committed 803 snatchings in a period of 27 months. He has been habitually engaged in chain snatchings.
- Mahender Singh Chowda is involved in 36 criminal cases and he is habitually engaged in unlawful activites. He is an employee of the police department.
- Asgar Ali is also a chain snatcher and committed more than 18 chain snatchings in Cyberabad Commissionerate.
- Khadar Bharakbha is involved in many unlawful activites like Rape, Dacoity, criminal trespass, criminal intimidation, Attempt to Murder, Kidnapping, Voluntarily causing hurt, Land grabbing, intended to outrage religious feelings by insulting other religion and act intended to insult the modesty of a woman.The rowdy sheeter along with his gang members known as “SNAKE GANG” were using snakes and other weapons to frighten ladies and couples, beating them up and tying the male members and raping the ladies serially. Moreover they were also photographing and video graphing the entire episode and threatening the victim about the exposure to the entire world, if they complaint.
All these four criminals were facing trial and there is a scope for bail. Further on being released they would resort to unlawful activites. Hence they were detained under PD Act in order to maintain public order and to infuse confidence in the minds of the law abiding citizens specially women and also to prevent Chain Snatching and anti-social elements from acting in any manner prejudicial to the maintenance of public order.

The chain snatchings reduced drastically due to the proper crime preventive measures taken by C.V.Anand. The initiatives taken by the commissioner are giving fruitful results in reduction of property crime more particularly in chain snatchings and women are feeling more relieved and secured.
Measures taken by Cyberabad Police to curb Illegal Activities.
- Identification of active chain snatchers, forming special teams and tracking the criminals through seven CCS teams, SOT and Crime staff of police stations.
- Colony wise awareness campaign through sector SIs, She teams and crime staff.
- Wide publicity by way of posters, pamphlets and colony/resident association meetings.
- Use of Whatsapp to send photos/CCTV clippings to all officers in the Commissionerate in minutes & creating awareness and also sending them to other state SP’s and CP’s for inter state cooperation.
- Death of notorious chain snatcher K. Shiva @ Samba and arrest of notorious chain snatchers (Jagadeesh (126) cases, Mahender Singh Chowda (36) cases, Laxmi Narshima (30) cases, Javeed (28) cases, K. Suresh (27) Cases, Poojari (24) Cases, Syed Hussain & Rama Raju (22) cases each and 29 chain snatchers and remanding them to J/C and ensuring their longer stay in jails.
- Initiating PD Act on the notorious chain snatchers like Modh Feroz (20 Cases), Mohd Rasheed Ali Khan (20 Cases), M. Jagadeesh @ Jaggu (126 Cases), Mahender Singh Chowda (36 Cases) and Asga Ali (21 Cases).
- Creation of fear psychosis of PD Act in Chain Snatchers.
- Close watch and focus efforts on Irani Gang of Bidhar and Gunthakal of Ananthapur District.
- Formation of special teams and watch on active criminals from Hyderabad.
- Identification of crime prone areas, strategic positioning of Patrol mobiles, Blue Clots, Interceptors and PS mobiles.
- Effective patrolling, visible policing and technology integration like using CCTVs, etc.,
C.V.Anand is planning to collaborate with resident/colony/welfare associations and other bodies like Jeedimetla Industrial association and going to take up technology integration by installing CC cameras, Burglar alarms, erection of gates on entry and exit points of colonies, social watch and creation of control rooms in crime prone areas.

Cyberabad Police joins Swachh Hyderabad Campaign
Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand framed a plan of action on "Swachh Hyderabad" campaign and decided to focus on cleaning Government hospitals/health centers under the limits of Cyberabad Commissionerate. As a part of the program 60 hospitals/health care centers were identified in all zones of Cyberabad. The objective is to ensure that every Police personnel in the commissionerate is involved in making "Swachh Hyderabad" a grand success.
C.V.Anand has decided to adopt Kondapur Area Hospital and started the mission on 5th may 2015. He cleaned the hospital premises along with the Hospital Superintendent and other hospital staff. Mr.Anand instructed all the officers from the rank of HG to DCP to take part in this campaign.

Similarly DCPs, Addl.DCPs, ACPs and Inspectors of Law & Order wing of the Cyberabad will be adopting one Govt. Hospital/Health Care Center and take up "Swacch Hyderabad" in coordination with the Health Department Officials, Doctors and Hospital Staff. Commissioner instructed the Officers to visit these hospitals regularly on 4th Saturday of every month. The cleaning program will be carried out both inside and outside the hospital premises which they have adopted.

TITA and Cyberabad Police conduct one day Yuva Nirman Workshop
Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) has conducted one day free work shop by joining hands with Telangana State Police Officers Association (TSPOA) for Students and Un-Employed youth of Police families.
A dedicated career guidance wing team from TITA named Telangana Yuva Nirmaan and association members has organized this program at Cyberabad Police Head quarters.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner Anand, Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) member C. Vittal, Mr.Gopi Reddy President Telangana State Police Officers Association (TSPOA) and TITA Honorary President V. Prakash attended the program.
