Bathukamma celebrations held at CAR Headquarter

 Manifesting the eminence of nature &  culture of Telangana - women officers of Hyderabad City Police celebrated the floral festival, Bathukamma, on a grand note at CAR head quarter here on Saturday evening. The women staff emblazoned the premises with beautiful exotic flowers.  

  The atmosphere was lively as the women officers starting from the rank of home guard to DCP and their wards clapped the hands in unison and sang Bathukamma songs around a huge flowery cone made specially for the purpose.  

              HCP Chief  Mr.CV Anand graced the occasion as chief guest along with his wife Smt.Lalita Anand  and extended his wishes .Along with senior officers he actively participated in the celebrations.  Kolatam, dances augmented the festive vibes. 

CP Anand recited his childhood memories of the floral festival.  “In those days festival was largely celebrated in the rural areas of Telangana. Ever since the State government declared  Bathukamma as state festival,   people in all regions started celebrating with gusto.”  he said.
