CV Anand takes charge as Hyderabad Police Commissioner

 

This morning senior IPS officer Mr.CV Anand has assumed office as the Police Commissioner of Hyderabad City for the second time, following an earlier tenure from December 2021 to October 2023. He thanked the Hon’ble Chief Minister and the State Government. Interacting with the Media in his office, CP Anand  outlined his immediate focus areas, including ensuring the peaceful conclusion of the Ganesh idols immersion, Milad festivities  and conducting a thorough review of the associated arrangements and action plan.

“In City police  bandobust for all other events are usually considered as quarter finals and semi finals. Ganesh bandobust is the finals and I am sure  all officers will  rise to the occasion. “ said CP Anand. 

“Easing traffic congestion, intensifying H-NEW operations to control drugs menace, and improving   law & order through effective policing and crime control measures.” remains our top priority, he said. 

During  previous term, Mr.Anand was credited with introducing  a series of significant IT initiatives(D-CAMO, Fit Cop etc.,),and reforms.Setting up CCC, reorganization of City Police,  H-NEW, appointing women Inspectors as SHOs, and several other effective policing measures. 

Mr.Vikram Singh Mann, Addl.CP(L&O),;Mr.Viswaprasad, Addl.CP(Traffic); Smt.Parimala Hananutan, DIG- ICCC; Mr. Gajarao Bhoopal , Jt.CP(Admin); and other senior officers were present.
