In the context of adverse police-public ratio of 1:1,250 in Cyberabad, Police officials have decided to reorganise and revamp the existing strength in a manner which will meet the present and emerging policing reuirements. Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V.Anand reorganised crucial wings in Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. Re-organised structure is depicited below
- The Zonal Task Force Teams(75 pcs) working under the control of Law & Order DCPs, will be dissolved as the results are not up to the mark . 33 civil constables from the ZTFs posted in various L&O police stations. Two additional platoons are also formed.
- One SOT team for each Zone in Cyberabad to control organised Each team will be headed by an inspector and will have one SI, ASI, a head constable, 10 constables, one woman constable, two male home guards and two woman home guards. They will be equipped with riot gear weapons, fire arms and provided a vehicle for each team
- Merging CCS stations and one CCS station for each zone. Staff will be shuffled accordingly.
- It is decided to alter the strength in L & O Police stations based on the following factors
(a) Total FIRs registered
(b) Total Property Crime reported
(c) L& O issues, Bandobust duties
- The City Security Wing is also re-organised and increased dog squad teams.
- A mounted police unit will start functioning soon.
